Bears & Vikings

Do we even dare to hope?

By the way, we're going to stop posting about Blackhawks games since they lost their winning streak after we praised the ownership.

The horror show playing within the game today will be the Orlando Pace, Jared Allen match-up. As Mr Bill would say, "Oh Nooooooo". I'd hate to be in Cutler's shoes today.

the bears are a good team on paper, who do you blame, the coaches or the players--- the bears are going to get their asses handed to them in minnesota--- t. jackson will be starting the second half.... the hawks snagged 9 out of 12 points on the circus trip--- scc, don't give up on them yet.....

Well lets see this is the team that gave us DT Dusty Dvoracek who was arresed at Oklahoma for putting a someone in the hospital with a head injury, Lance Briggs who was locked up for fleeing the scene of his infamous lamborghini crash into the Edens, former DT Tank Williams caught with dope, guns and ammo, Cedric Benson locked up for boating while intoxicated, Punter Todd Saurburn arrested on a warrant, TE John Gilmore arrested for Dope and resisting at the Leg Room....Bear Down!

Here's a little Jerry Angelo/Lovie Smith talent evaluation game for you.
*
*
*
*
The above list of FORMER Bear players have what factors in common?
*
*
*
*
Ding ding ding. Times up!
*
*
*
*
Factors include:

1 - Bears braintrust was unable to find a way to utilize ANY of their talents on their team.

2 - Each of these players is currently garnering votes for the NFL's Pro-Bowl, as we speak.

3 - Did I mention these are all FORMER BEARS?
*
*
*
*
Time for a new direction. Fire Angelo/Smith!

CRAP! Bears are playing with no HEART!

They have no fire in their belly, and that is DIRECTLY the fault of the coaching staff!

Time to end the Jerry Angelo/ Lovie Smith regime. Bring back the former Super Bowl and Pro Bowl Bears players, Jeff Fisher, Mike Singletary, Ron Rivera, Leslie Frazier, Jerry Fontenot, Mark Carrier, Bryan Cox, Doug Plank, Al Harris...

ALL are currently coaching in the NFL.

Da Bears may as well lose the rest for a shot at the #1 draft choice--Florida's Tim Tebow who shows as much, if not more promise than franchise QB Peyton Manning.

Oh, wait. Forget it, they traded away their top draft choice to the Broncos for Jay Cutler.

I'll take on any bettors that Tebow will NOT be the #1 overall NFL draft choice. Like Ohio State's Archie Griffin, Tebow will be the only other guy to win the Heisman Trophy twice. And the big guy is a genuine role model for the kids.

Don't miss the SEC championship next Saturday between the #1 Gators and the #2 Crimson Tide.

My prediction is quite simple. Bears lose in an outright, downright BLOWOUT, however, I am hoping the Bears prove me wrong. NOT!

Favre' the Packre', Brett the Jet, and the Q-Back that brings me to Liking the Viking, will work his magic and put the BEARS into a quick n' easy sleeperhold!

My prediction is 34-9 with the Bears on the losing end.

4 police officers killed in Wash. state
Shootings happened at coffee shop south of Tacoma

PARKLAND, Wash. - Four police officers were shot and killed Sunday morning as they sat in a coffee shop Sunday morning in Pierce County, sheriff's officials said.

The officers were in the coffee shop in the Lakewood area with their laptop computers when one or two gunmen walked in and opened fire, Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said.

"This was a targeted, selected ambush," Troyer said, adding that customers and baristas were in the shop at the time but no one else was injured

Authorities were searching for the gunmen, and nearby McChord Air Force Base was put on alert.

The officers were about to start their day shift when the ambush occurred.

TACOMA, Wash. – Four police officers were shot and killed Sunday morning in what authorities called a targeted ambush at a coffee house in Washington state, a sheriff's official said.

Officials at the scene told The News Tribune in Tacoma two gunmen burst into the Forza Coffee Co. and shot the four uniformed officers as they were working on their laptop computers, then fled the scene.

Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said investigators believe the officers were targeted, and it was not a robbery.

Troyer tells the newspaper "it was just a flat out ambush."

OT- Just a note about our department and how its changed. Captain Jim Mcgovern worked his last shift last night after 36 years of service. An outstanding Boss and a gentleman with family on the job who will be sorely missed. Not one of our exempts took the time out to see him into retirement or a simple e-mail to say good luck. Shame on every one of you. Captain, best of luck to a great man!!!!

A one-car accident. No law exists there that says he must be interviewed. That particular law is the same for everyone, by the way.

What makes you, or anyone, think you have the right to know every detail of a celebrity's life? Privacy is being eroded at all levels of our lives and you feel the man should volunteer to give more of HIS away?

I'm with him; if he isn't obligated to, he doesn't need to do it. Kind of like you don't have to answer the phone just because it rings.

It's called 'freedom of choice' and there's still a little of it left in our country.

FAVRE'S SQUABBLE WITH THE PACKERS WAS HIS FAULT WITH COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT TWICE LEAVING THE PACKERS IN A BAD POSITION ON THEIR FUTURE GAME PLAN.
