The city's Winter Overnight Parking Ban begins Tuesday.
There are 107 miles of city streets [..] considered "critical arterial streets." Beginning at 3 a.m. Tuesday, there's no parking on those streets from 3 to 7 a.m. The ban ends April 1.

This year promises to be especially entertaining with all sorts of "pay boxes" cutting into neighborhood parking and the new overnight bans here and there. Expect the TMA's, Streets and Traffic Units to be out in full force with tow trucks galore.

True that. Just don't expect me or a good percentage of coppers that are finally opening their eyes to the goings-on with this department, City, County, mayor, et al to be out doing anything of the sort.
Just a gentle reminder for those that may have forgotten that we've been without a contract for 2 1/2 years: you're a fuckin' scab if you bring in any type of revenue-generating activity.
If you put your parking receipt on your dash board and it snows how does the ticket writer see it? Are they going to have to clean the windows before issuing a citation? Yeah sure they will.
Hold me down on a snow tow! Central, Madison and Division.
I guess we can expect D o R to be pounding the pavement on midnights now since they can hammer the Snow Routes as well as overnight meter parking.
You have a quote from the doublemint twins on this thread.
OT: Prayer go out to the four officers who were gunned down in Washington State this morning while drinking coffee in a coffee house.
I totally agree with west side inside

San Diego city attorney is calling for a discussion for the city to file bankruptcy. The reason- ?- pension obligations that have been promised. Bankruptcy will eliminate all those promises although the city is currently solvent now.
If the pension fund lasts more than another 10 years I will be very surprised.
