All Sorts of Rumors

It's definitely going to be an interesting spring.

No bid openings this past Friday. Some old timers are saying this is the first time in years they've seen something like this. What does it mean? Retirements have outpaced hiring for years now and the shortages are becoming acute. The only way to staunch the bleeding is not let people leave Patrol. And that leads to all sorts of rumors posted over the last day or so:
  • Saturation and Gun Teams soon to be disbanded. A lot of personnel and vehicles heading back to the districts. Level 2 DOC will be covered by tac and rapid response cars. Deputy chief will also have to send all sworn personnel in his office except for two P.O.'s back to the district for street duty. This is coming down soon per Dugan.

  • More than 35 people put their papers in on Friday. Many supervisors, some of whom said they ware dissatisfied with where this department is going. They expect that there will bo other "Black Friday's" as well. So many people in their 50's were lined up it looked like they were waiting to buy tickets to a Grateful Dead revival Concert.

  • The remaining capt's will love this. Four hours of ot everyday at D5 pay. They'll stay in the office for an extra hour and tell the desk sgt to call them if they need them. In all reality the commander should be the 2nd watch w/c. Then have the remaining capt's work 1st and 3rd watch.
How about an experiment? We'd like to see at least one poster from every district post the number of beat cars or wagons unmanned the next day or two. Just a snapshot of what the future holds. We're betting it ain't pretty.

Finally a good idea, getting rid of the Saturation Teams and Gun Teams. I'm sure TRU is next. I don't see anything happening with TACT teams other than having them take jobs.

As for the video of the fight on 4200 Milwaukee Avenue is that the normal clientele there? Did the Portage Theater have some event that brought those street brawlers out?

I never would have expected to see that there. Maybe a gaggle of drunken Euro trash fighting, but not refugees from the West Side.

29 years ago in 1981 a very large group of recruits entered the training academy: January, April, May, and June. They all were done with their traning and detailed to Jane Byrne's Chicago fest at Navy Pier.

Fast forward to 2010: As the months tick by these KMA officers are likely to retire and further deplete the dwindling number of officers in district law enforcement.

Any chance of a hiring spree before the warm days of summer turn Chicago into a killing spree?

What? Gun teams disbanded? Area 1 and 2 Gun Teams are the ones doing most of the work on this stupid job. Yep. Stupid job. As an observer (ie. canine unit) these guys and gals are keeping the lockups busy. Getting bad guys and dope and guns are what they do and now they are penalized by some bull crap. You have units or teams doing what they are supposed to do and then wipe them out? Stupid. Just like that behavior program the department placed our hard working officers on. The department ruined good officers on that one. Those officers don't do nothing anymore. In a nutshell the climate is now perfect for the bad guys to operate untouched in Chicago now days. The working aggressive cop is as ancient as the dinosaur these days also. Oh yea, I am sure the disbanded officers will be real productive placed in uniform or wherever. What a joke. Stupid job and a slap in the face to all the citizens and everyone that thought they were making a difference.

I wouldn't worry about it. Most Sgts IQs are around room temperature

Yeah but yer the blue shirt that can't pass a test......

1/17/2010 12:41:00 AM

Waaah! Mommy, some jerkoff blue shirt on the blog said I'm not smart.

Mommy Whiteshirt: Don't worry dear. Not everybody comes from a family of whiteshirts. They are commoners and don't understand how IMPORTANT we are. They can disrespect you all they want on that insignificant "small people" blog. And when I say small people, I don't mean your father, he has a gold braid pension and still is employed in another more important($$$) capacity for "mine mayor". You see son, small people are the worker bees, we control them. They are necessary, if only to produce the honey that keeps our stats looking great. Just tell the no clout workers bringing in arrests, contact cards and ANOVS, that you have noticed how hard they work and it will pay off on the next promotional test...HAHAAHAAHA! I know son, that and a quarter will get a ride on the bus to work. But they BELIEVE this to be true and will work their ass off to please you. That is until they come to their senses.
And the crack about your IQ... have you been talking about the short bus again?

1/17/2010 09:06:00 AM

Boy you blueshirts need to calm down and realize we're in this mess together. We're in the same boat, so you're happy ass better grab a paddle. Maybe if you got out of Starbuck's for part of the tour and generated some activity (Wow! What's that Boss?) then maybe the City would have enough revenue to hire more police! Then you could take the robber's mask off when you collect your paycheck for just answering 911 calls. Try doing some work in between calls for service, instead of trying to make sure you get your daily personal. Oh my God! I didn't take aa personal today, I fuct myself.

We aren't factoring in the fact that it's winter.

Even the fastest of districts are slow past 2100 hours. Wait until the summer, when days is down to bare bones due to the old timers being on furlo and these fast districts are down many officers due to IOD and others are on furlo...

This was implemented in the winter, the "slowest" time of the year for us. If you think it's bad now, it will only get worse when there are festivals depleting the districts of those poor souls with 5 years on but are reverse senority sent all over creation, the tact/gang teams are manning whatever parade/fest is transpiring, and it gets busy and inevitably, more officers get hurt.

This summer is gonna be brutal for us in patrol. And let's not forget last summer, when the natives were not only restless, but we were very undermanned and police fighters abounded.

Noone fears the police, they don't respect us. We are fighting a losing battle, and it's only getting worse.

The idea if Decentralizing is becoming closer and closer to reality. The shortage in manpower dictates such change in the near future as the hiring process is not moving at a pace that is parallel to the need.

We can assume that the change in responsibility to fill every possible void on the Districts' level will be on the shoulders of the Deputy Chief for each Area.

To satisfy such responsibility and organize communities' needs, the shift in ranks and the general domain responsibility for each title is not only necessary but a must. In doing so, the patrol officer will be ultimate pressure relief valve for all avenues taken.

The redundant responsibilies for the multiple units we know of is very apparent to all and need tuning to better benefit " the back bone of the Department: the patrol division".

Responsibilities of supervisors should flow from Area Level to satisfy the District's needs. The use of the Caps Lt. Should be expanded. The Firld Lt's also madates a Universal role.

Decentralizing is the way to go but let us not forget that safety are in numbers and being efficiency in controlling law enforcement operations never leads to safe environments.

Let alone and not counting the fact that outside and international terrorism is a big factor that big cities are not including in any decision makings.

The role of medical miracles is directly influencing planning and decision makings and unfortunately might lead to many safety fragmentations.

Keep up the good work, back each other up, stay observant, keep your knowledge on the increase of what goes on around you, locally and internationally.

Be safe and God Bless.

Hello out there, fellow gang and tactical warriors!

Fear not, for I have a plan to help bring this city to its bloody knees. This St. Patrick's day, I'm organizing a pub crawl in Oak Lawn and Cicero. The tickets will cost $155.26 U.S.C. The booze fest will be a "Big Bird Retirement Party/Big T. Abbonte Benefit."
I hope to get at least 300 hundred officers, (elderly grandparents and infant children admitted). We will meet at Headquarters at 0700 hrs. For those officers to scared to drink and drive, buses will be provided. My good friend, Tobias, has volunteered to be a sober bus driver.
All participants will recieve a free yellow T-shirt with "Original Tactical Warrior" written on the front, with a picture of "Seiser" smoking a cigar on the back.

Here's where my plan comes in. At the stroke of midnight, every officer that's still standing is to put on there "dress blues," and the buses will take us to the risque Heavenly Bodies club. Once there, every officer is to punch the nearest stripper and pervert within range. I figure, by the time it's all over, after the media gets involved, lawsuits, lawyers, etc. The government will be forced to take over the city and then the midget(whom I love) will get tossed into Club F.E.D.

Don't worry guys and gals. It's not like they can fire all of us. And even if they do, at least it will be on our terms. Until next time, take care out there fellow Delta Force Warriors.

Rumor Mill: To my brothers and sisters on the midnight gang teams. If the rumors are true, rest in peace. For the love of God, use whatever phone call you can muster so you don't have to put on a dreaded blue shirt!

Well Happy New Year, was it just me or did J-Joke seem kind of sheepish and deflated at his last J-fest news sound bite. I think even HE is tired of his own numbers fudging mismanagement. He has been reduced to telling incredible lies on TV,torpedoing his own department and then now realizing that he has to go down with the ship. All parts of Chicago have turned onto the ghetto thanks to daley and j-fool...and this is winter. Stand by for a real summer and real cops being reduced to "looking the other way" for self preservation.

The only way Chicago can save itself from total anarchy is to kill the gun bann and normal citizens can take back the streets.

Back in the day, when I was in 015 ( KMA with about 90 days to go)there was a manpower shortage too.At the time there were 12 beats and at least one or two would be unfilled at any given time. The media( I think it was Channel 5) got a hold of it and asked Supt. Fried Rice why that was. Then the other channels and newspapers jumped on it too.Ol'Fred was starting to sweat for a while but then the MIRACLE happened.Rice stated at a news interview, when asked about manpower, that all beat cars were now manned. The media put smiles on their faces and thanked him, with nothing said after that. How did he perform this feat you ask? Simple...he ELIMINATED 3 beats in 015 alone and i don't know how many more citywide.I wonder now what other kind of tricks are going to be pulled to maintain the facade. Good luck to those who have to stay.

Please..you know good and well there are some people on those teams that are just a waste of space. Some are there just "because they reflect the community" and wouldnt know a good arrest unless it was the result of a holding the offender. Same with the saturation teams. Some very good workers, some fucking disgraces. Dugan should know that better than anyone, he worked at the area for years.

The real solution would not be to get rid of these teams entirely, just cut them back down to 8 or 10 people total. Same with the gang unit. You shouldn't have any more than 20 or so officers working gangs per area. Get rid of some of the dead weight and let them handle the fucking accidents and burglar alarms.

Problem solved. Wheres my promotion?

The Desk Sergeant will be running the 2nd Watch, and what happens when you have an Acting Desk Sergeant? The Actor/Sergeant if he/she has to approve an arrest report should put in for W.C.'s (Captain's) pay.

Or will they try to sneak around that like they did in those districts where they did not have a W.C. on the First watch. They called a W.C. sitting in another district to aprove the arrest report.

Stay safe, God help us. This is all penny pinching so Shorty can spend money on things which make money for his friends.

SCC,

How about a thread on this and how the Obama White House has fucked this up. Feel free to edit, if you wish.

Lefty,

Why is it taking so long for your President and his administration to get aid to Hatti???

You and all your bitches blamed Bush for the mess after Katrina. Even though the people had five days warning and refused to leave when ordered to do so.

Then sat around on their lazy asses, then demanded everyone else to take care of them.

Now we have this tragedy in Hatti. These people had no warning. A week has gone by they still have no food or water and are dieing in the streets. All your president has done is get on TV and promote his agenda while the people in Hatti suffer.

What do you have to say now Lefty??? Is this Bush's fault too???

Lefty why don't you call the white house and tell them of your disgust. The should listen, they have big ears!!!

Why is the main stream media not slamming the government on this one. What a fucken joke.

One thing the news is reporting is how many Haitians have been evacuated to the U.S. and Gitmo. The U.S. is giving free entry to the U.S. to any Haitians who arrive on boats.

Yet there are 3000 american citizens attempting to leave Hatty for the U.S. and are being held and not allowed to return home. Because their passports have been lost in the rubble after the quake.

Is this what America has become? Free for all except Ameerican citizens.

We are all interested in hearing your slant on this one Lefty!!!

TO: 1/18/2010 12:53:00 AM

That hiring spree you talked about. I was in one of those. They ran us through the academy 9 hrs Monday thru Friday and 8 hrs on Saturday to have us ready for ChicagoFest. Hit the districts with 220+ hrs on the books. But it was a980, tho there may have been one also in 1981. And '82. There was a lot of hiring in those days. Even up to the mid 00's.

Hiring should be a (continous)process, not an (periodic) event.

The wheels have totally fallen off the bus. Chicago, the "City That Works" has broken down, thanks to Daley and thieving cabal.

And yet, there are still criminals out on the street.

I don't think there is going to be a whole lot of choice in the matter. You only have so many warm bodies, and you have to put them in the most important places first.

As a citizen, I would rather see more patrol cars on the streets. Get rid of all or most of the plainclothes and special units if you have to, but get warm bodies, in uniform, in patrol cars, out on the street.

What Daley has done to the law-abiding citizens of Chicago is outrageous. His outright refusal to keep this city safe with enough police power is a crime in itself. It starts with the failure to even have an entry-level exam to keep an eligible pool of candidates ready to hire. What is going on in personnel? The civilian he put into that spot should be ashamed of herself for not getting this off the ground. Daley finds money for every one of his pet projects, i.e. Olympics, "After school matters", spearheaded by his wife, city planters, ETC., but he doesn't have the foresight to hire qualified police staff? The numbers of retirees will surely make it harder on the rest of the troops.

TAKE NOTE ALL YOU LIBERALS, when you call for the police for your emergency service, you will be lucky if someone shows up w/in the 1/2 hour. There will not be enough staff.

VOTE DALEY OUT NOW!!!!
DO NOT VOTE DEMOCRATE!!!
THEY ARE RUINING THE CITY!!!!

That happened in the phillipeans too, john howard said their jail was overcrowded, they were told to come back soon and they had fixed the problem. 200 prisoners were executed, prob solved.

Gun, saturation, vice, msf, tru, gangs, ocd, and narcotics send all of their asses back to the districts problem solved.

No problem solved, within weeks they will turn into dogs because there is no incentive to work the watch.

A better solution is to start spreading these units out. TRU and MSF always have to cover 007,011, and up until last week 004, now 003. That's over 300 p/os for basically 3 districts, you can't tell me places like 8 or 10 couldn't use some help.
Way back when we had skip teams, which were basically rapids that focused on in progress calls and making arrests. Spread these units out to other places, for maybe a period at time instead of months and months at a time.
I cant speak for the other units, but I do see them on the streets responding to jobs, at least in area 1 and 2.
You also complain that these units make arrests and stay down, guess what its because your lock up keepers don't want to do work either.
But again I will reiterate we need to start working together, all this animosity has caused more problems than any loser clouted exempt.

I am deeply disturbed by the Stuttering Prick, the WEISel and CPD management for a myriad of reasons. They treat the thin--never thinner--blue line like cannon fodder. A guy like Rick Francis, working solo 10-99 goes down and the crocodile tears flow from City Hall.

All district patrol should ride as two officer units during the hours of darkness. Also, while the City is at it, end all this "duty availability" bullshit and give shift differential to these officers who actually work the mean dark streets. Skeptical? Cite me another big-city P.D. that doesn't have shift differential.

You want shift differential? Fine. Work the streets during the hours of darkness.

A bit of history. There were two watershed cases of murdered solo police officers that forced the City to make all 3rd and 1st watch cars roll as deuces. I knew both officers. Each was shot and killed on midnights while working 10-99:

**June 19, 1970--Kenny Kaner, 007, was parked and writing up a missing report at 74th and Union. A carload of bangers drove by and blew his head off with a sawed-off shotgun. He never had a chance.

**January 19, 1973--Bob Wenzel, Area 6 Traffic, pulled over an auto for a traffic violation at N/B 1800 N. LSD. The lone occupant shot and killed him.

With this utter depletion of manpower, I'm getting really bad vibes based on hard facts.

REMEMBER KENNY KANER and BOB WENZEL!

This is the 21st century. Management must evolve. There is no need for Tact teams chasing the one baggers or the drinkers just to inflate the arrest numbers. This was a good idea 20 years ago, but guess what things change. Management needs to focus on terrorism and gang activity more then bs 1 rocks. If they are that concerned about the war on drugs they should have their teams work together and do long term investigations on closing down the tip, not just a 2 man car go out and chase a rock to fill the court key. Utilize the man power and shut the tip down and you eliminate the problem spot.
Sure I know some blue shirt is gonna bitch about not being able to fill the bs court key so they can make the ot, but this 1 rock shit is coming back to bite our asses. Financially we are getting sued because the Judges always find no PC on all this Bs 1 rock shit. Not to mention the blue shirt finds a nitch that they can exploit and it really solves nothing. They are off the street for a few hours and then they are done for the tour. They will get the ot for the no pc hearing and no one actually wins, even the blue shirt who gets the ot. The offender is out with in a week doing the same thing before he got caught with the rock. Also, our taxes go up in order to pay for the bs system we have in place right now. So, the court key ot actually means nothing in the long run.

Since we do not have the man power why not utilize the man power more efficient.

I remember years ago when I was new my partner and I were driving down a street known for prostitution. I suggested setting up surveilance and locking up 5 or 10 at a time. My partner who was an old timer said take it easy kid, lets not kill the job. That statement may have been true 20 years ago, but guess what the job died any way. We have to do more with less and we do not have the protection from the public or the management that we should have. So, why not just hit crime at the base of the problem. Not just 1 rock or 1 arrest at a time. If we know it is a drug tip, then set a team up and take down the dealer instead of the buyers.

If you see a street with 10 prostitutes on it, set up a team and lock all 10 of them up rather then just 1 for the bs number that solves nothing.

Its obvious we are not getting more man power any time soon, so lets use the manpower that we haver more effectivley.

I am sure the disbanded officers will be real productive placed in uniform

What do you consider productive ?

All we need are able bodies to respond to paper jobs and 10-1 whens needed. Its all about safety, as long as the do nothings show up when you really need them, who really cares if they make a bs arrest to pad the numbers.

People you all have to wake up and smell the coffee. The working hard charging police officer is dead and gone. The public, management and lawyers have made it next to impossible to do good old fashion police work. So, why not make it safer and easier on the patrol division by giving them the able bodies to respond to calls and do reports and respond to a 10-1 when needed.

These little special units have out lived there necessity. The special little secret units are not able to police in the 21st century climate, so eliminate them and replace the man power back to patrol.

Wait, you must be on swat. Considering this department had no swat team up until 3 or 4 years ago, why is it so necessary to have one now. They could easily be downsized and no one would notice except the crybabies that work there and think they are the shit. And before you talk shit I used to work there and left.

1/18/2010 05:02:00 PM

You left there? Apparently you couldn't make the cut. Regardless, before SWAT there was HBT which was the same thing, except their sole duty wasn't to just wait for a job. They had to make arrests from time to time. In today's time you need a full time SWAT team, so I agree with the previous poster... They are needed. They make life a whole lot easier with search warrants and crowd control. And NOOOO, I'm not on SWAT nor did I want to be, but I was in the old SOS and appreciate the job they did when they were asked.

It has been over THREE YEARS since the last one, and many experienced officers like myself would be willing to make the transition over to Chicago. It's embarrassing that neither city hall of the CPD cares about its rank and file.

Sorry but even IF another test was given everyone who qualified from the previous exams would have to be hired. The 86 that were just hired are off of the 2006 exam, and there is no money to hire anymore in 2010, I REPEAT NO MONEY FOR HIRING IN 2010. The only reason the 86 was hired is because we received federal funds to hire them.

Wow. Where to begin?
1) Let's start with the obvious, you're a meglomaniac. Seriously, if your troops "loved" half as much as you thought, they would be sure you got the help you so desperatley need.
2) Second. What's with the Battle of Normandy speech? You talk as though you are living "We were soldiers". Let me clue you in on something, YOUR OFFICERS ARE NOT YOUR KIDS! You're probly the kind of guy who assumes your guys say a special prayer at night for "Sarge" holding down the fort. My guess would be, you're wrong. If you were so confidant in your own "leadership", you wouldve posted your name to your little tantrum. Of course you wouldn't, because you never know who's looking ,right? Now remind me again, which one of us is the coward? Oh, and as far as backing me up everytime I'm 100% right- thanks hero! Gee, I feel as though Iv'e heard those company lines somewhere before.
3) Third, and by far and away my favorite, is this little gem.

"First of all...."IF" you had an ounce of brains in your skull you would realize that you don't have enough common sense to pay a parking meter pal"

Do you have a learning disability? Who taught you to talk like that? It sounds like some bad line from The Breakfast Club or something. And since when do we "pay" anything with common sense. You should probly have your wife proofread your posts in the future, to save yourself any embarresment. Either that, or have your little girl write them for you. Anything would be better than this.
4) What's with all of the "....."? Is that supposed to be dramatical pause? I didn't know one could develop a stutter while typing. I guess we learn something new every day. For you, you learned that "you"(as you've always feared) ,are indeed a moron. And I learned that if we can teach a polar bear to ride a uni-cycle, then we can teach a goofball like you to pass a promotional test. Which, by the way, does not mean you are Sherlock-fucking-Holmes.

5) "You should be so privelaged to work with me...not for me.....as I am not better than you......unless you think you might be better than me.....as you say.....I am a police officer who unfortunately in this day wears a white shirt......a shitty job for anj individual who wears his heart on his sleeve".
While my heart bleeds for "anj", this sentance, (and I use the term "sentance" in the loosest possible terms) sounds like it was written on the wall at the bullpen in county. Seriously, what was the highest grade of education you finished? When you got your promotion, did you "sign" your name; or make your "mark" like a chimp. Again a monkey slapping the keyboard with his bananna, would have a good at making more sense than you.
6)I could go on all day berating this dipshit, but I'll wrap this up. In summary, fuck you. Stick those stripes up your ass, and enroll yourself in the Sylvan Leaning center.

You were kidding, right? Patrol is the backbone of any police department. Uniformed officers are the most visible arm of government. Someone's got to answer the #1 parkers, the domestics, the burglaries, the suspicious autos and all the rest of the calls that none of the "super cops" want to take. Thank God there are men and women willing to do this, day in, day out. The sooner the department realizes that all other units are here to SUPPORT PATROL, the sooner we'll have a more effective response to the animals that are taking over the city. Sure, specialized units such as MSF and TRU have their place, but patrol is the basic building block of law enforcement.

I'm no longer in patrol, but have been around long enough to realize this basic tenet.

Ohhhh...I've been doing this all wrong for the last 25 years! My job is to produce revenue? Here I thought it had something to do with actually doing some good (Yes, really! Even after 25 years), not just producing revenue.

In this climate? With bosses we can't trust? (Did we ever see the results of the "Stress and Morale Survey"?) With an administration unwilling to back us up? No fucking way. And yes, I did my share of work and in looking back at the years, plenty of stupid things in the past that these days would place me in jeopardy of losing it all. The basic difference? Bosses who would back you up. Bosses that realized that loyalty is a two-way street. Bosses that wouldn't ask you to do anything that they themselves wouldn't do. Not anymore. Not for these clowns.

Bosses like this are few and far between:

".....I am the real police.....been the real police.....and always will be the real police......I will not stand by and watch my people go into battle alone...I walk right beside them.....I will never let my people get fucked by this department without giving my blood for them.....I will never let my people get hurt / injured.....I will never let my people get jammed up over without going to the wall for them.....'IF' they are right......"

But it's got to be more than "'IF' they are right" You've got to back them even if they were wrong - so long as they were within the scope of their training. Mistakes of the heart v. mistakes of the head.

"we need to start working together, all this animosity has caused more problems than any loser clouted exempt."

"I am deeply disturbed by the Stuttering Prick, the WEISel and CPD management for a myriad of reasons.

Skeptical? Cite me another big-city P.D. that doesn't have shift differential."

UM hm, and how does gangs make their money and buy their guns ?
By selling one rock/one weed bags
And what do you do when you find a one bagger-dump the dope and let the offender go and risk a CR number and/or an official misconduct charge?
Don't buy it call IAD. Until you decriminalize it or RWOC per the ASA or WC, you risk getting jammed up for real.
And don't make me laugh about tact teams or beat officers focusing on terrorism or high level gang activity. Most of them avoid TARA or any other kind of terrorism training, while others don't know about gangs in their district let alone high level gang stuff. Stop dreaming.

Fellow Brothers and Sisters in Blue. There have been some good common sense ideas brought up. There have been some really silly comments trying to defend some cushy spots.

Remember this, spots will not be eliminated if a boss is involved. They may take a few PO's away but the cushy boss spot will remain.

I have heard Weiss (yes he is an asshole) had some good ideas about combining units. He was shot down from the 5th floor after his own command staff cried to their Chinaman. The bosses only care about themselves and don't you forget it.

Why do we have a Narcotics, Vice, and Asset Forfeiture units??? Throw in the Gun Teams while your at it. Those units and teams could be combined under 1 Commander (yes that would be a huge unit but about the same size in manpower as 018. There not answering jobs so the boss doesn't have to answer to the citizens). I work in one of those units so don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. That combo would eliminate a commanders spot and more than a few office do nothings.

Just dump the sat teams. There are a few hard chargers but not many. Those that have put up numbers can be given a spot on TRU or MSF. While your at it dump TRU (take the best of TRU and MSF to make one unit). Change MSF to SOS and put all your specialized teams (SWAT and so on and so forth) with them. The bosses should be doing more work. Not losing PO's and using that as an excuse why their numbers are down.

But, when they are yelling, "Rocks and blow!" in front of your house, please understand that the bosses read your nonsensical diatribe and have decided to assign me to a long term investigation aimed at bringing down the dealers. I'll get back to you in a few years with the results.

And, when your old-timer partner was giving you advice about wrangling 10 prostitutes at a time, he was looking out for your safety. Ever try it? It is like herding cats. Plus, look at all the examples of police officers being killed while trying handle one person, much more 10 hookers. Your partner should have added "or ourselves" to "Let's not kill the job."

Also, you and your wonderous management principles and ideas are a startling look at how our younger generation of sworn, and the older foolish civilians now running the department, see no value in the experiences of the ones that have gone before them.

It is a foolish, incomprehensible, sad, and tragic (FIST) approach, and will be forever known as the management style of the FIST Management team composed of duh mare shortshanks, Masters, O'Keefe and J-FED, beacuse they so love to fist each other, and, in turn, fist us.

Let’s see, I think it goes something like this: These are trying times men, and we need everyone to step up and take on more responsibility so that we can get through this difficult situation. You're all police officers and we know that you can toughen up and work through this, whatever it takes. Men are judged by their performance in difficult times not when things are going well and easy.

Does that sound familiar commander? Have you made similar bullshit speeches to the troops in hope of inspiring them to go out there and do the job even though they are undermanned, under armed and underpaid? Hahahaha.

If a multiple merit promoted political hack like you can't lend a hand when the city and department need it most, why should we?

dulay was a good commander--- not in 017 he wasn't... remember him calling in a traffic car to write up a squad car parked on a hydrant in front of the station--- and it was a sgts car to--- he had a bad code brown and barely made it in and the good commander had him written.... the sgt had to pay the ticket and this sgt would have dotted both of dulay's eyes if he would have gotten the chance.....
