the blackhawks take the ice at 1300 hrs today at the start of an 8 game 15 day road trip.... after blanking the blue jackets 3-0 thursday at the uc, they play down in columbus today before heading to detroit for an 1130 game tomorrow which will be carried on ch 5.... are the hawks looking to make some moves--- rumor has it that they like the ducks goalie giguere and also the thrashers captain kovalchuk.... they could probably swap huet for giguere but would pay dearly to bring kovalchuk into the fold......
the only way that will work if giguere is in the final year of his contract and the ducks eat the rest of huets contract.we still need a top center to take the pressure off toews,not another scoring winger that will cost us dearly,and possibly the cup!personally if we could pick up an aging scorer with some cup experience (whi is hungry for a cup)would be nice for a 5th or 6th round choice!anything less i would go with what we got.bring up skille ,1st round 7th overall its time!!chelios is available for the pro rated minimum.he has won the cup and can help!!maybe even help with the youngsters next year !go hawks and dont forget our four time champion chicago wolves!!!
No shit? I really hope the keep Huet. This is all news to me. I watch almost every Hawk game, but, I'm not real informed on the inner working stuff...trades, injuries, etc. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Just my opinion. To whoever brought this up on here, do you see a benefit?

I would take either one of our goalies over Giguere.We dont need any additions.The Blackhawks as a whole can beat any team on any given day.WTF,what team has a forth line as good as ours?
huet was dumped by the canadiens for a reason-- a pig could play goalie for the hawks and look good with the stifling defense they are currently playing--- is huet good, certainly, but does he take you to the next level--- questionable--- he broke his goalie stick over the crossbar yesterday because he knew he was out of position and should have made the save.... to the poster who stated we need a good center you are right on--- the hawks are going to be a new look team next year because of cap issues whether they win the cup or not--- would you give up sharp and versteeg to bring kovalchuk here or barker and sopel with some future considerations--- some tough decisions will have to be made by management....
