This Should Finish Quinn

Touting a tax hike? In the midst of a recession?
  • Gov. Quinn used his State of the State speech Wednesday to push a 2010 tax increase, make a tearful argument for his leadership style heading into next month's primary and tout his role in the state's ongoing recovery from Rod Blagojevich's dizzying political collapse.

"In taking the oath of office, I knew that we had a state in crisis, a state that needed stabilization, that needed an honest governor and an honest government," Quinn told a joint session of the General Assembly. "I think in the past year, we've worked together, night and day in some cases, to win the trust of the people."

"trust of the people"? Have you caught all those 1,800 early parolees yet governor? And we still see state government continuing on its corrupt path, asking everyone else to make sacrifices while spending like the well isn't dry.

You're out of touch along with most of your party.

SCC: You're right. That rectum-mouthed Quinn finally excreted the one thing a politician shouldn't say while running for election: A tax hike on an overburdened public.

Quinn is proof there are Too Many Rectums on the loose. With the upcoming election, it's a no-brainer our governor's mansion will have one less rectum in it.

All the corrupt politicians keep saying we all have to "tighten our belts and do our part in these tuff economic times." Ok, well how about in the mean time you guys stop raising things. My mortage escrow account is now depleted and went up to match the property tax increase you guys imposed on me even though property values have plumeted. My water bill just went up 14%. My gas and electric bill just went up again after the first of the year. You keep raising taxes on everything possible and then you ask us to do our part? When will it end? If we even get the standard 4% raise it won't even come close to the cost of living increases you have put upon us. No more taxes! Cut the waste and free handouts!

This is an easy one. He sees the writing on the wall, so he says the ONE thing he knows will cost him the job.

The man is working for, what, a buck a year? He resides in the mansion part-time (after berating his predecessor for the same thing). He's learned the job isn't as easy or as much fun as he thought. He wants his real life back.

Simple.

Have you ever seen the amount of "grants" issued to the south and west side ministers from State funds? MILLIONS of tax payer money going to M.B. store front churches for bullshit programs that allege to be daycare, counseling, job help, etc...I can't believe there isn't more outrage!

If there is any justice in the world, the voters will realize that Quinn is well beyond his freshness date. He is good intentioned on most things, but unable to avoid disaster on other things. He gotta go.

Then why is he spending so much campaign money on TV? Why doesn't he drop out of the race to gain his sanity back? He always seemed to talk the honest, I'm-just-like you talk, but he's a politician just like the rest of them.

VOTE 4 whichever Republican wins the primary (even if it is a RINO). Listened to their debate last night and it was a pleasure to hear a few mention that they will not allow shortshanks, madigan, cullerton, etc. control the State of Illinois, as they are allowed now. Proft sounded really good until he tried to kiss up to the dems.(minorities) by mentioning meeks.

At election time we must vote in conservative Republican candidates...remember that the democratic socialists are now in power..research it on Google, etc. if you are not convinced...listen daily to Glenn Beck who continues to research and provide proof of the infiltration of communists/socialists/marxists/revolutionaries withinin this administration/czars. Quinn in his inaugeration speach praised communist Che Guevarra and said that we should follow Guevarra's example and pull together and be willing to sacriface in these difficult times for the "common good." The communist/socialist/etc. cancer is deeply embedded in the democratic party at all levels and state-wide. If there was ever a time to make changes at the ballot box it is NOW. Our country is at an all time low MORALLY, SPIRITUALLY..GREED AND A LUST FOR POWER IS AT AN ALL TIME HIGH. Remember what communism/fascism did to Europe and South America and STOP OBAMA AND HIS POLITICAL PARTY. God bless us all and God bless the United States of America!

Yes, but who is next in line? Another reformer, I'll bet! "I'm going to clean house, I swear to serve the people of Illinois....blah,blah,blah! This shit has to stop some day, doesn't it? No, you say? Not in Chicago or Illinois? You're probably right! How can you have deficits of 6-8 billion dollars and not raise taxes? Maybe Lance Burton or Criss Angel can do it!

Pat Quinn was put in the Gov's mansion to wear a political "Kick Me Sign" and that is all. We need a very Conservative Rep from Downstate, the rest of both parties are all the same thing.

Why do we have to always raise taxes?

CUT SPENDING.

Now that's a new skill that most politicians can't seem to grasp.

VOTE ALL OF THEM OUT.

Even so, he was the best of the bunch. He gave No double-talk and he called the others on their bullshit. He's got my vote.

While everyone in town watches that fat ass thieving bastard Burke swinging his fat ass in and out of every expensive restaurant in the city trying to hook up with his mob buddies while we sit home eating Spaghettio's. They can tighten their belt's around their neck's.

Uh oh, you had to mention Spaghettios. I am still mourning the passing last week of the inventor of same, Mr. Donald Goerke. While working for Franco-American in the early 60's he came up with the classic round spaghetti.

Hey, what's the matter with sitting at home eating Spaghettios?

They are better than flamin' hots and grape soda.

That was haute cuisine while growing up on the South Side in the 60's. The kids of America thank Mr. Donald Goerke for his cullinary innovation.
