A fight with her mother caused a teen to run away from home this week, but she has been located safe, Chicago police said tonight.
On Friday police released an alert asking the public's help in finding a 14-year-old girl missing from the South Side.
Family fight. Kid runs away. An alert is released, wasting valuable police resources, media air time and dulling the public's appetite to assist in legit cases.

It is stupid. 3% do not return right away. All we are doing now is dulling the senses of people and I would bet 100 bucks that the missings not returning will go up, because of this...

If a 4 year old is missing and a parent "is not quite sure what they look like or were wearing or if anyone picked them up, : it is typical bullshit. a 45 YEAR OGL PSYCHO who can leave the "nursing home we all pay for under the ADD and SSI, is not fucking missing. He/she is out and has not returned yet..THAT S NOT MISSING. I don't care what the state License requirements are..you don't follow them any other time fuckheads, don't play that bullshit NOW!!!!!..In Chicago, an adult is not missing......
Start doing missle X cards for anyone in a nursing home like the order says. Make the parents actualy ATTEMPT to look for the kid first, before making a report.....Oficers, don't be a jagoff...you know when the parents care and when they do not...take that into consideration...
This is a bunch of BS so some reverends can get their name in the paper..Guess what..The girl who was "missing - AKA run away" had been booted by her lovin family many times....Is it a tragedy? Yes!!! Is it because she was a missing, NO!!! It is because she was on the street of her own free will, hanging with the same people she hung with on a daily basis...The fact that it was on the news and who ever killed her saw it, probably contributed to her death...Yes, I said it

The Chicago Police Department should have two classifications one known as " Missing Persons " in which a subject is reported missing and has never been missing in the past and the other known as " Runaways" in which subjects are reported missing frequently and return home on there own in a day or so. These should only require a phone call for the investigation. But this is the City that works so guess nothing will ever change.
Then start fining these people. 250.00 for making a report to the police when kiddie is hanging with friends.
ReRE is pissed that momma yells at her and splits w/out saying boo, now we have to amber alert??? And if they start making shit up, then press charges for false reports and statements to the law. That's the only way to curb this crap. Parents have to sit their kids down and tell them this behavior will not be tolerated and could get the entire family in trouble. Schools should have a program set up that teaches the kids that behavior is wrong and not tolerated. It may reach a few brains, but I doubt it.
At least they could say, they had the program in school and were told not to do it. Just like our "streaming videos". Start making citizens ACCOUNTABLE for their actions.
Was this the "missing" found in 22 on Sunday? you now the one that was kicked out of a youth home in Robbins Il. the one that mama called 911 for but also stated she was NOT welcomed back at her home. Mama wanted her taken to "aunties" home.
Tell mama to get her coat and take her for a ride in the cold police car. Hold yourself down and drive mama around looking for her little darling. Next time, she'll think twice about calling.

Besides, those alerts are a help to us, the CPD. Sending an alert in every instance removes one thing the news media and the reverends use to criticize us, and that criticism stems from NOT sending alerts. They wanted alerts galore, they got it. Solved that one. Now where's my contract?

Bobby Rush says the CPD is racist in the way they issue their missing child alerts.
It is an absolute travesty that this MORON has been elected to earn a living representing people in Congress. He is a CRIMINAL, and an EMBARRASSMENT to our state. He has been stealing a paycheck from taxpayers his entire life and is always looking to find ways for his peoples to do the same.
But because this inept MFer took the CPD to task over this, the CPD must now address his "concerns".

has anybody noticed all the busted water mains? the 6000 block of n milwaukee has been flooded and frozen at the curbs and on the sidewalks for a couple weeks now.same goes for nagle/raven and a couple more places.seems like all they do now is come out and put up a couple horses/orange cones and then forget about it.or did our idiot mayor cut staff in the water dept? they used to fix these right away.

I have a 23 year old daughter with intractible schizophrenia who lives in a nursing home, and she is considered a vulnerable adult. She is unable to safely care for herself and I would hope that if she went missing, that someone would help me look for her. I don't sleep well many night as it is worrying about her...I sincerely hope this po is alone in his views
