Curious...Very Curious

One day, a federal subpoena. Three days later, the company goes under:
  • Days after being raided by the FBI, a West Side construction company has closed its doors, NBC 5 has learned.

Krahl Construction is a $100+ million-per-year company specializing in interior construction for office buildings and health care companies.

In a memo to employees, a company executive said simply that the company is no longer in business.

One has to wonder, what connections are going to surface? The company is awfully close to quite a few suspicious properties.

Please tell me they are connected to Walsh Construction or some other outfit with ties to the Daley/Burke/Madigan Crime Family!

I'd love to see them all go down in one fell swoop!

Saw Tom Tresser of 'No Olympics' fame on WGN Noon News yesterday as a Green Party candidate for Cook County Board President.

He said the Better Government Association estimates that the governmental budgets in Chicago & Cook County have about a 10% portion lost to political corruption which means that of the County's $30 billion budget, $300 million is lost to corruption EVERY YEAR!

He wants an extensive accounting done throughout the County's budget so as to eliminate the waste.

Yeah, good luck with that. I'm sure all the corrupt pols will suddenly become honest and give a legit accounting of every dollar existing in their budget.

And I'm sure that the pencil neck geek accountants who are sent in to do this review won't be, (A) misled with a 2nd set of books, (B) bought off themselves with a cash stuffed envelope or (C) threatened with death or dismemberment if they even attempt to expose the corruption.

Besides, the corruption is systemic and the ones involved make a living at being corrupt. I'm sure they have THREE other corrupt plans ready to spring on the unsuspecting taxpayers for every ONE of their plans that MIGHT BE uncovered and eliminated in an accounting sting!

Nothing will happen! "Whitey Bulger" Daley will tell everyone they are overreacting and "just like that" he's gone! Some stooge will take the heat and another big story bites the dust! Its like terrorists who are willing to sacrifice themselves for "The Daley Cause!"

A Cook County Commisioner running for re-election ' her name escapes me' was interviewed after she sent her opponent a Christmas card paid for using her descrationary fund. Campaign rules prohibit the use of funds for ads (ie) x-mas cards unless it states where the funds come from. This commisioner states that the 10,000 cards sent out were to frieds and some constituents. She then stated "Descrationary funds are already allocated to me to spend as I see fit." WTF! Tax payers dollars spent for her bullshit personal use.

OT * NFL Playoff Game *

WTF?

I'm sitting here watching an AFC playoff between The Cincinnati Bengals and NY Jets and two of the best running backs in the NFL this season, and who am I watching?

Thats right. Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson, two running backs that Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith had on the Bears, evaluated as of no use to the Bears, and got rid of so they could begin their Pro-Bowl careers.

Jones ran for 1402 yds. this yr.
Benson in 13 games ran for 1251 yds.

Just knowing that Angelo and Smith so badly evaluated these 2 players makes me realize that they BOTH should have been fired this week!

Wlash Construction.
Yea, its a city based company with lots of connections. Oddly, most the the stuff they do is outside the city and a lot of it is private buildings. Soureces say thay are one of the top companies in the US, and when they are not stuck using some political hack or reverend, they do excellent work.
