More Ticket Follies
Anyone care to confirm this rumor regarding the State Police supervisors coming in to attend to their injured Trooper?
- ISP supervisors called in from home drove their personal cars to Stroger and parked on Ogden. Dept of Revenue ticketed the cars for not feeding the parking meters and then came back after midnight and put a second ticket on the cars for no parking on Ogden after midnight.
This would truly be a crying shame if confirmed.

I cant stand those department of revenue ticket writers. they could care less who anyone is. Last year I had over 500 in parking tickets. I dont blame them Im the one who screwed up with the parking but it was all due to the wonderful zone parking permit crap... they will give a ticket to thier own mother
DOR employees are the bottom of the barrel, akin to the banditos who strip Bogart naked at the end of 'The Treasure of the Sierra Madre'.

You can't really blame the D.O.R. mouth-breathers for hanging tickets on civilian/personal vehicles...especially if they weren't given a heads-up of the situation.
HOWEVER, if they were aware and/or were given the order to exercise discretion and STILL hung bananas - especially a second time through - they should be publicly identified and beaten mercilessly upon being located.
Either way, a stand-up "boss" (if one exists), should immediately collect all tickets issued and make sure they're non-suited IMMEDIATELY.

Shouldn't the ISP supervisors have State take home "Company Cars" (State Police Plates) like the Troopers do? If not, they should, just for instances as this (going out to the scene...etc..)

Tickets on unmarked squads, anybody and his brother writing tickets with NO discretion, it's a mess.
When the Police wrote tickets, there was discretion and experience at work (mostly). Sure there were some incidents, but now? If there was something going on, one call to one central dispatch and every ticket writer (police officers) knew to give an area a pass.

DOR mouthbreather spotted on 107th and Homan the other day going westbound. It was during the week in the early afternoon which left a small amount of cars parked on the street. Slam the taxpayers while the rats drive and park with no consequences. (Even when they go to traffic court)
If the city won't non-suit those tickets, I'd like to donate $$ towards the fines. Seriously.

Also any boss cannot get a parker non-suited, they could ask the Director of Revenue to non-suit it but its the Directors call to make. LOMA LINDA, Calif. (KABC) -- A new 911 fee takes effect in Loma Linda on Monday.
Residents will be charged $300 for each 911 call to the Loma Linda Fire Department, or they can pay an annual fee of $48 and not be charged for each call.
Non-residents will be charged $400 for each 911 call.
Loma Linda city officials say the fee is necessary to help pay for the high cost of providing emergency services.

Makes you wonder, if the state police supervisors don't need a company car for their job, why does a cpd supervisor need one when all their travel is local?
Here's another tidbit, when a utility company is doing work on a city street that is "Pay to Park", they must apply for a permit, and then PAY the company to reimburse them for the revenue they are losing while the parking spaces are unusable.
I thought ISP took their cars home. Even if it was their personal cars, if J-Fed had an ounce of decency, he would pick up the phone and call the director of the ISP and tell him to round up all the tickets and send them over to be non-suited.
Who am I kidding, J-Fed doesn't have an ounce of decency so that won't happen.

FYI the DoR trolls anywhere the working man taxpayer lives. I'm not a cop and live in Edison Park. I see them around here on the regular now during the day, and occasionally at night (although very rarely). I very rarely park on the street. Just a few weeks ago I got a ticket for parking in a permit zone without a permit (I have private parking). Zone enforced from 8am to 10am. I parked there around 9:45, totally oblivious to the sign since I rarely park on the street. 9:53 some POS tickets me. Jesus H Christ.
I appreciate policemen doing the duties they used to do: moving/parking tickets, directing traffic. The job was always done right, and if you made the occasional mistake and weren't an asshole about it (or better yet, you knew the guy because you lived on the same block) it was no big deal. Now it's fines at every turn, and it's not a $10 parking ticket either...$60 for parking?! How is that not considered excessive punishment? Let's just call it even at $1500 an infraction, or they can impound your car!

They did what they get paid to do. if it turns out the tickets should not have been given out in the first place, there is a mechanism for dealing with that. Maybe the state should just pay the fines, but since there was no real emergency for the supervisors, I am betting the people involved pay them.
Unfair? Maybe. Maybe not. Some things just are the way they are.
All ISP officers have take home cars. Supervisors holding the rank of M/Sgt and above can also drive them while off duty. Perhaps there were a few who were out and about in their personal cars when they were notified and decided to stop at the hospital to see how the troop was doing. Either way, getting ticketed for visiting an injured copper really sucks and the asshats who hung the paper should be ashamed of themselves.
WHY would civilian parking aides be writing tickets on Saturday night (the vening the ISP Trooper was injured)? Even if those ISP troopers came out to visit her the following day (Sunday), why would they be out writing tickets on Sunday? If this really happened, someone had to have summoned the ticket writers over there. And if it was a sworn officer who wrote those tickets, PLEASE out the bastard right here on the blog!

Their investigation revealed that Shortshanks has hired an outside unit called "Circle" somethingorother. (I didn't want to interrupt their investigation). They didn't have any I.D. on them either. Typical hood rats! Thank you to the fine officers from 015 who were very professional. The point is, the Stuttering Prick even has outside agencies whacking tax paying citizens in addition to DOR weasels. Make sure you have your shit together.

The big fish political hack JR intials works also for the city clerk at delvalles office on archer and laramie ave. I work First Watch and see DoR ticket writers all the time.
they should of had a CPD car posted to make sure none of the vehicles were ticketed, but that make too much sense.
hahahaha. really doesnt make no sense. a car waiting telling department of revenue not to ticket. common these guys love to give cops tickets. its not a pos job to do that. that should of been done by management if anything. a call to department of revenue like the courtesy we give for citizens weddings when they request.

Department of Revenue Mouth Breathers:
1st Shift: 6am-2pm
2nd Shift: 11am-7pm
Currently No sat or sun shifts.
Ser Co:
Monday thru Fridays: 7pm-3am
Saturday: 24hours in 8 hour shifts
Sunday: 24hours in 8 hour shifts
Dept of Revenue Ticket writers have not worked for Comp or OT since July. Period.
