Since 023 wont exist anymore as a numbered district. Do they get to take a photo also?
Crazy turn of events. The 019 district is not closing, just relocating to a new facility, 850 w. Addison. The REAL closure is the 023rd district!!!! All Officers presently assigned to 023 will be re-assigned to 019 district as of 4Mar12. The 23rd district facility will be renamed 019 district town hall. Its just like moving into a new building, except with 420 Officers now. Since 23rd district is shutting down, I suspect 23rd district Officers are in for some huge changes. Hows 7,11,15,sound?
Did 2311 really go down for lunch last night while a motorcade for an officer that had passed away was going to pass in front of the
23rd district? Really classless officers L.T. and M.S.
If all the P.O.s and Sgt's from 023 were transferred to 019 with the new change, how come the Lt's from 019 didn't get to stay in their original assignment and have 023 bosses transferred? Something isnt right here.
Anyone know if they are including everyone that worked upstairs too?

That shows the strength of the Lt's Association. The BID Lt's got the shaft but declined to grieve it because the bid Lt's went to districts they wanted to go to.
John Riordan got the worst of it, he lives in the far reaches of 016 and went to 008. Otherwise no one was hurt.

Why, did they have 019th district offices upstairs?
You DO know A/3 isn't going anywhere, right?
Does anyone know if the "naked guy" from 19 going to be in the picture? You know, the civilian from who works in the branch 29 that likes to walk around naked, stroll the aisles, clipping his toe nails, stretching his back and striking up conversations with any unfortunate soul who happens to be nearby. The same guy who runs up and down the middle of the stairs at the pace of growing grass and refuses to move over when people are carrying their gear down to the locker room. If so, will he be nude?

Actually I am retired from A/6 and didn't know that. I am in town for a few days and was feeling nostalgic. Last I heard they were going New York style with Detective North / South etc. that's why I asked. But thank you so much for your considerate response
WOW, the old area 6 !!!! Thanks for your years of service, Hope your retirement is going well. Hate to say it, but its best just to stay clear away from this place nowadays.
Congrats to the 008th district for getting one of the few good bosses left on this job. 019 is gonna miss Riordan. Great guy! He is the police, and looks out for the police. As if moving to 023 didn't already suck. Miss ya boss! KG.
