- The one-time business partner of former Mayor Richard Daley’s son who was ensnared in a federal minority contract investigation has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his failure to disclose two key investors in a sewer company that got city work.
The two undisclosed investors previously have been identified by the Tribune as the former mayor’s son, Patrick Daley, and the mayor’s nephew, Robert G. Vanecko.
Anthony Duffy, 47, pleaded guilty Friday to lying to agents when he was queried about his failure to disclose information about two investors on economic disclosure statements he was required to file with the city on behalf of his company, Municipal Sewer Services.
Gee, a Daley and Venecko involved in some shady deal. Who'd have thunk it?

Surely he didn't just decide to wander into the feds' office to tell them that he had lied.. The feds already knew about this "discussion" when they asked why Daley's boy was left off the disclosure list.
Who is the unidentified other person who told him to keep Daley off the filings? Where is that person (and his wire) today?

In 2007, the company acknowledges mistakes were made.
In 2008, Duffy lies to the Feds.
Finally, in 2012, Duffy pleads guilty ONLY to lying to the FBI about his failure to disclose two key investors in a sewer company that got city work...
At this rate, the Feds will take down the ENTIRE Daley Crime Family, including their consigliere, Mike Madigan and lieutenants, Bill Daley, John Daley, Patrick Daley, Ed Burke et al, by the spring of 2058!
Ya gotta love them Feds... They may take forever, but they always get their man!

He'll get some probation time and then work for the Daley's or Vanecko's as a loyal foot soldier forever, or until they need another scapegoat to take a fall for them again.
But the IMPORTANT thing is that the criminal balance in the universe is once again restored.
Thanks for playing by the "rules", U S Attorney Fitzgerald. It's good to know that the Crime Family can always count on you.

Just a little sewer story. Once upon a time the big sewer truck pulled up in front of my house and I was so happy cause the sewers really needed to be cleaned. Well their were 5 or 6 of them one guy took two covers off while the others watched him. Then for the next 6 hours they wondered around talking on their phones, except for the driver he was sound asleep. The end of the day came with them never having put the suction hose in the sewer they than woke up the driver he was grumpy put the covers back on and left.

You need to stop drinking. You want us to believe white men didn't vote for Daley.
Sorry, I cannot be as cynical as many. I believe in the current US Attorney and I believe that he is always trying to get the any corrupt politicians. ( I know, call me an asshat, a dumb ass or whatever you want). With that said, the Daley's are not dumb and appear to have shielded themselves very well from the corrupt activities that have endured under their administration and by which they and their frieds have profited handsomely. It will be very tough to get any Daley. They are not some dumb ass alderman who takes envelopes of cash under the table. Some pretty high ranking members of the political class have been convicted, sent to the slammer and so far have not given up anything against the Daley's or Madigan. What sickens me is that Daley is being honored since his retirement and I am sure Madigan will be as well., People are lining up to kiss their ass and rings and name streets and insitutions for them. I would like to see one of the Illinois prisons names after them. " The Daley Maximum Security Correctional Center of Illinois" with the Madigan wing.
