More Aggravated Batteries to PO's

  • A man on parole was arrested after he rammed a police vehicle with a stolen minivan in Englewood to avoid capture, police said.

The incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 7000 block of South Normal Avenue and resulted in two female police officers being treated and released from Little Company of Mary Hospital, said Chicago Police News Affairs [...].

Darius Mosley, 23, of the 6900 block of South Normal Avenue, who was driving the minivan, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated fleeing an accident causing bodily injury and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was also wanted on a warrant for a parole violation, police said.

He was also ticketed for driving without a license, failure to stop at a stop sign and not using a turn signal, police said.
Again, best wishes to the officers for speedy recoveries.

O.T. Big thanks to the detective, tac, and beat cars that responded to a suspicious vehicle at 112th and Albany in 022 last night. I know it ended up being the typical teenage disturbance but we are all grateful for your quick and aggressive response. The house at that location was recently burglarized and minutes before a hype looking m/2 6"03' 150 lbs with long hair was just seen in the area at 113th and troy. It's great to know that while many of us are out working midnights away from our loved ones help is just minutes away, even in mt greenwood. And believe me my wife appreciates it even more. Thank you all again, keep up the good work!

This surge of violence against police is the direct result of the media painting us as the "bad guys" in this town. Thugs, Gangsters, and anybody else thinks it's ok to go after us. The Fireman is still your friend and we are the chumps. Not true but that is how it looks today.

Pretty sad when Chicago is featured on the Fox News Bill O'Reilly show as a "murder battle zone". The story portrayed Chicago as a murder crazed town that is out of control. True to some extent. Doesn't take an Einstein to think back to last summer with the lakefront savages running wild and the Flash Mob Gangsters terrorizing Michigan Ave. and the Gold Coast. This should help the tourist industry this summer. And the nitwit in City Hall running the circus aka government just doesn't give two shits. The Racoon is just passing through on his way to bigger things and could care less what he leaves behind.

Catch Frank Main's article on crime up after residents of high rise public housing relocated under Section 8 vouchers. I had one older, hard-working woman from South Shore tell me years ago "It was like the gates of hell have been opened."

But what did ordinary people know or who cared when this first started happening? The start of the class war.

OT. The other night in 011, a block away from one of the 99 foot posts, there was a call of a man with a gun. He was walking with a shotgun in the alley and ran off when police were called. Creeping through the alley with a shotgun a block away from a 99 foot unit. No safety issue there. There are also a whole lot of calls of selling narcotics 1/2 block away from the footposts every night. Even if the foot officers could respond and go around the corner to these calls, not the most tactically sound plan to approach a group of dope selling gangbangers while you're 99 on foot. But don't worry Uncle Gar, they will stop buying dope on these corners while we are there. They have moved half a block down until we leave these corners and they take them back over. But you know that since you're an experienced patrol officer, right?

Boys and Girls Mom's and Dad's lets look at rahms circus! Now rahmbo and potato head quinn are talking about not funding the pensions at all. Our CPD's pension will be totally bankrupt in 10-12 years max, rahm is saying the Chicago taxpayers would have to pay 150% more to fund the pensions, the very pensions we were promised when we joined this sinking Titanic fucked up organization! To think coppers are still chasing 1 baggers, and running their asses off for the "boss" who carries an "exempt" rank star, and who will draw an exempt pension sucking more from "our" funds! Call out Mike Shields, the 50 cowards, and the rest including the madigan crew! Why is any proactive policing at all going on especially in the ghetto where the animals roam? Why? This is extremely serious, why not a pension at your last career service rank? This means no big payouts for exempts, and why does rahm have so many D-3 paid lackeys that also get a sergeants pension? This should be stopped and now! Crickets chirping hey fop do you hear us YET??

Chicago posts worst first quarter of homicides since '03

By Tracy Swartz posted April 4, 2012 at 12:00 a.m.

Chicago ended the first quarter of 2012 last week with 118 homicides, the worst first quarter for homicides in nine years, a RedEye analysis of preliminary police data found.

The city recorded 50 homicides in March, up from 22 homicides in March 2011, RedEye data shows.

Chicago also saw a 57 percent increase in homicides from January through March compared to last year, when 75 homicides were recorded in the first quarter.

The last time Chicago saw this many homicides in the first quarter was 2003, when 120 homicides were recorded, according to a 2008 Chicago Police Department report.

...

Two homicides have been recorded so far this month. Thirty homicides were logged in April 2011, according to RedEye data.

Well that's two down and twenty-eight to go. I'll take the over.

March 2012 was about one warm weekend away (16) from a tripling of the homicides as compared to March 2011.

Oh well..let the flash mobbing season begin!

I hate the words "pilot program" in this city. It is rhetoric for let's throw shit at a screen and see if it makes a pretty picture. This city is always voluntelling us to do these things. If they mildly work or they can skew numbers city officials look like a genious. If they don't we get hurt. If you want to gamble city and federal funds on our lives, I would almost except them telling the public "we are taking all the money to vegas and throwing on black." It would almost seem more logical than their pilot programs. If I wanted to be a pilot I would be flying a plane. Let's call them what they are... STUPID!

I talked to several officers in 011. On paper the are supposed to be on a set fixed walking post. In actuality they are sitting in a car on the dope corner. Just another downed car/manpower sitting on a corner not answering jobs or doing anything. Gee Gary good strategy. Pretty soon we will have all cars except maybe 3(1 per sector) answering all the calls as they pile up. Remember Gary your words which were caught on tape "If it doesn't happen in the zone who cares"

Now that I know this is how it is, I will include the following in any 911 call I make: "Hi, there's a guy breaking into my home. I am armed. I am going to kill this man immediately and anyone that's with him. Send the police or don't - but definitely send the coroner. Thanks."

And the chips will fall where they may. Be safe out there guys. Some of us still care but the number is dwindling (everyone's moving away!).

Or maybe you realize that going home to your family is worth far more than anything else. The first rule of a first responder is to respond to the threat (whether it's a guy with a gun, a collapsed building or someone drowning) without becoming a victim yourself as that will tie up sequential resources to not only help you, but to address the original threat. I'm not a cop but in any armed confrontation, it's a known fact that your own safety is paramount.

I hope like hell you aren't a cop, and if you are, that you are single with no living relatives so no one will miss you or say over your casket, "Goddam, Johnny was always a hot-headed asshole that didn't think first. If he would have just waited for backup, he'd be alive today."

Taxpaying citizens have your back out there, but our voices mean nothing. The mayor doesn't give a shit and it appears your Super doesn't either. It's in your best interest to stay safe. Most of us can take care of ourselves.

For the taxes everyone is paying in Mt. Greenwood nobody should have to confront any bad guys. I've said this before. Taxes in the sections of the city that get the most police and fire service pay ridiculously cheap taxes. Some are only hundreds of dollars.

The Police – Patriot Update

Lennard, a former New York Times reporter who was arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge during a mass protest back in October 2011, discussed what she perceives to be police “repression” against Occupiers who recently attempted illegal civil obedience in direct actions designed to take over property, such as retaking Zuccotti Park in New York City.

Responding to a question from the audience about identifying “enemies”, Ms. Lennard replies that while Now that the legal resistance against the Occupy movement has stiffened, look for increasing hard-line conflict.she didn’t believe that the neo-left, “Chicago school” tactic of identifying enemies was the optimal one for the movement, she did say that “racism and patriarchy” were enemies and then referred to the police as “an emerging enemy.”

Ms. Lennard’s statement seems to echo the beliefs of many in the Occupy movement. When the movement began back in the fall of 2011, many said “the police are part of the 99%.”
