Every so often, we get a particularly annoying set of trolls who come in here and spout their racist, sexist, antigun, liberal fantasies and expect to get a platform here. Usually, we delete them without comment, but a couple stand out today:
- To the anti gun nut who says the only people signing up for the course offered to our readers are "gun fanatics like you SCC," why would you be against anyone, especially cops, becoming more adept at their jobs and the weapon they carry? You're the one constantly bitching about how untrained citizens shouldn't be armed. Here's training. Now what Asshat?
- And to the other cretin who claimed they'd never take a course offered by a woman - this lady (with McDonald) took Richie Daley, the City of Chicago and the entire anti-gun lobby all the way to the United States Supreme Court.....and won. What have you done lately?

We need Tactical Barbie to alternate her style of aggressive preventive patrol in both 007 and 011.
Anti gun nuts are mostly commie oriented and should be considered dangerous to real American values.
Not Rahm's Chicago values, but American ones like living free and protecting your family. The Rahm values are the ones that are opposed to that and want you enslaved and crawling to a political boss or dictator for permission to do anything.

Out of the blue, the full-time teachers and professionals of the City Colleges of Chicago began receiving in the mail on Saturday, August 25 notification about a tentative contract they did not know was being negotiated and which they were being asked to ratify in less than a week. Their current contract does not expire until July 12, 2013. Why the rush?

Lawyers regard pens as a tool of the trade. They have ruined more lives than we have.

The instructor training that qualified me as the only Chicago civilian authorized by the state of Illinois to sign off on the CFP consisted of 40 outdoor hours at 7 degrees below zero, and was specifically designed for close quarters officer survival. As I understand from conversations yesterday, standard CPD training includes neither adverse weather nor 11pm-5am training.
When I took the weak hand, back up weapon qualification portion of my MAG range instructor training,my hand began to swell by the second shot and hurt like a mofo. What did I do? Shot 100 rounds through anyhow, because it was vital to know that I would stay in the fight if my strong hand was incapacitated or shielding a child. I scored 291 out of 300 with that hand and drove three hours home with my hand in an ice bag.
In my most recent training experience, I didn't know that I'd already injured my ulnar nerve (in a non-firearm related incident). There's a video clip in which I was instructed to disconnect the bad guy's neural pathway so his trigger finger wouldn't shoot his hostage as he dropped. If I can get permission to publish the clip, I'll send you a link.
Because of our second amendment right, you both have the freedom to choose whether or not to pick up a gun, and whether or not to take your training from a woman.
But if you ever find yourself in a situation requiring such defense, you can rely on my female students, civilian or LEO, to provide it for you. They'll be easy to spot, as they will most likely be the calmest individuals there.
But you needn't take my word for it -- feel free to ask any firearms instructor whether they'd prefer a class full of women or men. And then ask them why.
It's never too late to learn something new, you two. Nor is there shame in acquiring knowledge.

Anyone who KNOWS A THING about the subject knows Massad Ayoob's work and reputation. He is the real deal. I read (yes!) one of his books. Wish I could take the class.
