013 Photo

Anyone who worked at Wood Street:
  • SCC could you make a post for a photo shoot of past & present 13th District coppers? The photo shoot will be on 18 Sept at 1400 hours outside of the station. Thanks

We assume there will be a 012 photo soon seeing as how 012 and 013 are combining this fall? Anyone have the date?

Since they will be taking pics of 012 on the outside can they also go inside and take pictures of the mold, lead, and asbestos infested (former range) mens locker room in the basement? And for a bonus if it happens to rain that day, they can take a pic of the water that seaps in and floods the locker room. Thanks.

012's is posted in the C/O book, either the 17th or 18th at 1100, that much I know for sure. 1100hrs... completely inconvenient for 1st and 3rd watch. Genius. At least 1400hrs would have a good amount of 3rd watch starting the tour and most of 2nd watch still on duty or just getting off. I know I won't be coming to work 3 hours early to smile pretty for the cameras. Oh well.

Speaking of which, does anyone have any CREDIBLE info regarding the merge? Rumors flying that the bottom 50 from both 012 and 013 will be sent elsewhere.

What does the department do with the station photos? I was there for the photo when they closed 019, but I have never received or even seen the official department photo. That was 6 months ago already.

Same date at 1100 for 012. It came out on the same message as the one for 013. Guess whoever posted about the upcoming photo for 013 isn't looking forward to having new partners or they might have mentioned that fact. Sounds like something DS would do.

If true about the contamination, I hope someone takes some samples and makes out some IOD reports before it all goes into a landfill. Then get examined and tested and if any of that shit has found it's way into your bloodstream find an environmental lawyer in an expensive suit hungry for a class action. Call Erin Brockavitch.

Bye bye bottom 50 of both districts. You are all the young guns. Time to go do some real work now.None of you are or have been the real police like the rest of us have done already coming from working dustricts. You all walk around like tuff guys and girls. Those of you on days have no business being here in the first place. I for one look forward to the merge.

Does anyone know what the new
RADIO ZONES will be?

013 and 014 are on Zone 3 now.

A Combination 012/013 and 014 would be to busy.

Also, a combination of 012/013 and 009 would be a nightmare for radio traffic.

I know the department has plans for a "ZONE 14, 15 and 16"

Before the merging, (13th dist) I hope they put back the 5 officers from the robbery/burglary team back on 3rd watch. What a waste of manpower there. Driving by a burglary or robbery job just doesn't cut it guys. Need some inspiration? How about doing a ride along with Bt. 5168? Don't know who that is? The guys from 3rd watch that were detailed out and have brought in more activity, have assisted many beat cars than all 5 of you put together. WHAT A SHAME!!!!

I'm selling air fresheners that capture the aroma of the old branch 28 (bum court) that was on the 2nd floor.

Also have the original "back of the yards" after shave, and the crook county morgue deoderant.

supplies are limited.

Hey retired Sgt. E & retired Lt. S, we's love to see you there. Miss you guys. The watch was the best then.
From someone soon to be gone too, but hopefully not forgotten.

A retired cop who lives in and once worked in 013 and is active in the community posted the request in an earlier thread. Not a slight by a cuurent officer.

The citizens of 013 are having a series of events on Sat Sept 8 to thank their officers. Breakfast in the morning starting at 5:30 donated by Ann Sather (Ald Tunney) and McDonalds and a dinner and entertainment that night at St Helen's School at Augusta and Western from 6:30-10:30. Cops are free, but there will be raffle tickets sold and admission tickets for citizens. Tickets can be purchased at cpdmemorial.org as all proceeds will go to that organization.

For shits and giggles, the 013th District photo should have retired sergeant Regino Saenz with lieutenant Dean Stone in a headlock.

I know Gino would be game, but how about jagballs Stone?

To 8:10 am I have worked in 013 for 20 yrs and it used to be pretty busy, I agree there are a lot of useless officers that are taken care of but that's everywhere and will never change. talking about them on this blog just shows how big of a idiot you are. You probably write on the bathroom walls too. If you don't like someone have the balls to tell them to their face. You guys don't understand civilians read this and you sound like a bunch of high school kids grow up and worry about your pension and healthcare two things that actually matter.

Wow your going way back with the bum court thing. A lot of old timers in 012 don't even realize what that means. Back in the day, the real day, 012 had bum court on the 2nd Fl. Back when Madison Ave was skid row. Bum Wagon would scoop them up and toss them in. Back when they were real "wagon" guys. The only defense weapons we carried back in those days was a revolver and a pair of fist!

Hey bigger asshat, I'm sure he was ordered to tell everyone how he wants to be a street Deputy when he grows up and pose for the picture too. Nice try

Gross will be the Cmdr in the new 12. One of the aldermen who has part of 13 in his ward posted the confidential briefing book the supt gave them online and a citizen saved it. Stated Gross was the Cmdr of merged district. Hes somewhat been acting in that capacity for months.
