They were charged with assault (and maybe battery), because the crime did not have a provable racial element. "Don't vote Trump" is, believe it or not Mopey, political speech. The assault and battery portion was the law broken, along with the theft of auto committed afterward. And the dragging of the victim. We could stand in your face and shout "Obama sucks!" for hours on end, but until we make physical contact, no law is being broken.

Racial tensions seem to have gone back to the bad days of 1960s - if not worse!
Obama should not think his "Presidency" did so well for the US, its international image, AND its domestic unity. He failed.

In this case, the young man has to live with the horror, the trauma of this, maybe every day for the rest of his life. This would have been horrifying for anyone. But for someone struggling with mental disabilities, the damage from this is exponentially worsened; he may never really recover. So if she wants to get into a pissing contest about it, I think this poor kid "won"

When she had her show here, where were the summer internships or mentoring programs with bright kids from Englewood or Austin? And where does she live? "Hate crime" laws are an abomination in themselves. They add a layer of speech control to ordinary crime- it's already perfectly legal to spout racist hate speech. Adjusting a criminal prosecution to include a highly-illegal violation of the First Amendment is a crime too, and far more serious than shouting racial expletives.

One case the kids were charged with a hate crime (rightly so) but were convicted of simple battery even though the N word was stated multiple times, hang you from a tree, and talking about the victim shouldn't be dating a white girl.
So I say this to say I bet them offenders get Jail time and rightly so. But the offenders in the case I stated above didn't get any jail time and they also got low bonds.
Physical harm was involved in both cases only one was video recorded but other than that the crimes were the same. But there was a big difference in bond and it will be different conviction for the same crime.

Does anyone remember when officers from the 25th District recovered her car, that had been stolen in Maywood, and she refused to sign complaints, because " she saw no black faces at the station, and she didn't want to be the one to send another black man to jail". There was a foot chase to catch the offenders, as I recall. What a piece of garbage she is.
Yet she will never touch the fact that Black Politicians are laughing all the way to the bank, making a living of the backs of their constituents.

It's apparent that black folks are to be given special treatment when they're allegedly charged with a crime.

Has anybody looked up to see what the offenders subsequent criminal history has been?
Loved how Moprah had to keep repeating how terrible this crime was while trying to make a case for it not being a hate crime. We all know Moprah believes blacks can't be racists so therefore can't commit hate crimes. You can bet your life savings on the fact that if this were a case of 4 whites torturing a disbaled black man, she'd be screaming for hate crime charges all over the place even if there were no racial slurs thrown.
No matter how you spin it, this was a hate crime pure and simple. And these 4 shitheads deserve all the punishment they can get.
