Thought Provoking Comments

Saw these scattered around in the comment sections - and we know everyone doesn't read the comments. It's long, tedious, and repetitive sometimes:
  • regarding the OPS/IPRA/COPA accusations of misconduct: "Every case that Fairley had oversight of should be overturned and the Officers should be awarded millions...
at least that’s how it worked against Burge"
  • regarding swiping: "If we're not hourly employees, why is our furlough time/days calculated by the hour?" (That would be a good question for the FOP - make all OT pensionable retroactively to the switch to furlough hours)
  • regarding marching: "Not a good idea to disrupt the lives of honest hardworking people who actually work for a living in order to galvanize them for your cause. As SCC alluded to Sam Kinnison in an earlier post: " Why don't you people move to where the food is?" Why not march around City Hall where the lawmakers "work"? Why not march around the Criminal Courts Building where judges let repeat offenders off scott free to inflict more mayhem on the people whom you allegedly care about?

Why not march around Rahm's domicile? You have the beef with him, let him feel the wrath! Same goes for Foxx and Preckwinkle Dart etc. They want everyone out of jails & back into your communities. Let them know it's not working. Why can you get large amounts of people to march but yet you refuse to march thru the neighborhoods where all the shit actually goes down?"
Always an interesting take by the readers.

Fake revrun Fleygor— if you even read the Bible— how about a march around Rhams block just as the Hebrews did back around Jericho in biblical times.... what’s that Flageur? You are on the take from Rham and don’t want to go against the political grain. I know you will march, don’t forget to wear your hat that represents the female reproductive anatomy.

Let’s look to history— back in the 1980s an actual Priest who had balls to do something—Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez (15 August 1917 – 24 March 1980) was a prelate of the Catholic Church in El Salvador, who served as the fourth Archbishop of San Salvador. He spoke out against poverty, social injustice, assassinations, and torture. In 1980, Romero was assassinated while offering Mass in the chapel of the Hospital of Divine Providence. Though no one was ever convicted for the crime, investigations by the UN-created Truth Commission for El Salvador concluded that politician and death squad leader Roberto D'Aubuisson had given the order.

They don't March for real solutions because that would be difficult and uncomfortable. They march because they want easy answers and for someone else to find the answers for them. Self examination must be avoided at all costs

Because it's not about the shit that goes down, it's about EXTORTION. Extortion of public, taxpayer supplied, funds. From the taxpayers to THEM, with the democrats the go between.

Their communities are Tools to the Extortion. That is ALL they are.

Convo their narrative and you miss the truth entirely.

Address their narrative, with intent to counter, and you are shouting into a tornado.

These are CROOKS. EXTORTIONISTS. GRIFTERS.

These are the democrats.

Are you kidding, SC? People will never march around City Hall or courts simply because the real purpose of those marches is not the purpose they say it is.
They don't give a slightest fuck (excuse my French) about the violence, poverty etc etc.
The whole idea of marching for this cause is self - promoting crave for media attention. I am very surprised we don't have reality show " Keeping up with Father Pathfinder" in colorful Chicago area.
I've learnt through my life, people who really do something usually stay quiet. Those who make a noise usually do nothing.
Except making noise, of course.
I go to work every day. I take care of kids. I have plenty of work at home and when off, my kids come first. I don't have time to march every week so some people can get famous.
I do my part in improving the surroundings, safety for our children, future for Chicago. And many people do so. We are not marching. We don't have time. We do not take welfare. We work.
Maybe we make a mistake.

The reason they are not going to march around the Hall et. al. Is that these places are protected. The protesters are like the school yard bullys. They are going to harass the citizens until they cry out; give them what they want so they will leave us alone. And the politicians will, using the citizens money. Then the bullys vote for the politicians.

Hourly furloughs are not in the contract only in a special order issued by Jody weis. Was grieved before and the city bought FOP refused to persue it based on their grievance committee. Baby furlough days are expressly mentioned that they are only worth 8 hous. Pday’s says days says they are worth days as in days worked. . So does furloughs! Days worked are based on your schedule worked not hours. . FOP reopen the grievenes and shove it up their asses.

So they wanna spread the sorrow and fear to the north side?? In Lincoln park and wrigleyville?? Well, theyre afraid everyday on the north side because criminals from the marchers neighborhoods go up there and rob, burglarize and carjack them all day long on the north side.. don’t these marchers read the papers? Watch the news?? There is a TON of violent crime in wrigleyville and it is NOT caused by the wrigleyville residents.. it’s the people and folks of south shore, Austin, englewood, Auburn Gresham etc who cause havoc on a nightly basis in the 019th district. Why is that not a story here??? The neighborhood that the marchers belong too create 90 percent of the violent crime in wrigleyville..

In asking why a mob behaves as it does, you're setting the bar too high. If people acted with their intellect instead of being driven blindly by their emotions, most of the problems they're protesting wouldn't exist. They're just not that smart for starters and have only a dim understanding of the forces at work. That's why they're so easily used by their self-aggrandizing "leaders", who are only incrementally smarter.

Police are warning residents of three carjackings this week in the Roscoe Village, Lake View and Buena Park neighborhoods on the North Side.

In each incident, a male carjacker or group of carjackers came up to people while they were sitting in the driver’s seat of their parked vehicles, opened the door and ordered them to get out and drove off in the vehicle, according to Chicago Police.

In one incident, a carjacker showed a silver semi-automatic handgun, police said.

During one of the incidents, the carjacker or carjackers showed up in a gray Toyota Camry, police said.
The carjackings occurred:

About 7:15 p.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of West Melrose Street;
About 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of West Wellington Avenue;
About 2:15 p.m. Thursday in the 4200 block of North Kenmore Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area North detectives (312) 744-8263.

So be on alert if you see males, and a "silver" handgun, that is discriminatory, the color of a gun! For clarification: (furloughs go something like this for non supervisors)
1-4.5 years on the job = 20 straight days
4.5-9 years on the job = 24 straight days
9-15 years on the job = 176 hours of vacation hours
15+ years on the job = 200 hours of vacation hours

And supervisors get 200 hours of vacation hours

Relax, quit being a doomsdayer. When the Cubs won the World Series they were more fans in Wrigley, more people at Clark and Addison and there were more people in the bars surrounding Wrigley and the CPD handled it. And they were all drinking more than they will be on August 2. Also at that time CPD had fewer officers.

Live in Edison Park and saw the ridiculous story on the front page of Sun Times the other day that is spinning and trying to portray the mopey barber( Da Barber of Da Grill') as a pillar of the neighborhood and role model and how the barber shop is now THE most vital Cathedral in the Black World. It is striking that a barber shop in 003 is of such importance instead of THE most vital place in my neighborhood, THE DINNER TABLE. It's disgusting that a culture places a simple pleasure of vanity ahead of raising its children and not making the women and stable household their central focus. Im in beer sales and travel the city and I have always noticed the trend of the shootings and gang loitering having the same address as barber shops while the dope boys run in and out all night. When the bulk of a culture neglects child support payments over getting a haircut, scoring weed hanging out and being involved in their family that explains the genocide in the Black Community. I'm not the police but have my CCL and FOID, and managed to fit in a haircut, get one kid to Norwood Park for baseball, while the wife brought thing #2 to soccer and after hit the DQ on way home for a late dinner at THE TABLE and no one got shot. Maybe our formula...works!

Sounds like the doctors might have lost a few in the last 48 hours. They are good, but aren't always successful.

7/25/2018 03:36:00 AM

So much for the comments on the blog that state “with improvements in modern medicine and better trained doctors who have been trained in trauma during the Iraq War, victims are surviving, keeping homicides down. Those 10 must have done to the wrong doctor

I find it interest how one of these "activists" is also running for Governor of Illinois, who happens to have an IR#. I do recall that it was for domestic battery and, the victim was his spouse.

Maybe some true anti domestic violence group will have a few signs along the upcoming march on lakes shore drive to Wrigley Field, to call out the FAKE "anti violence activists" tio hardiman.

NO DOMESTIC BATTERY OFFENDER FOR GOVERNOR!
OR
TIO HARDIMAN- FAKE ANTI VIOLENCE ACTIVISTS

Salary or hourly? If I have a late arrest and stay two and a half hours past my scheduled end of tour I fill out a slip and they credit me three and three quarter hours. My neighbor the engineer works late and gets zero. He may get a bonus at the end of the year but that doesn’t have to do with how many hours he works rather how well his company has done. He’s salary and I’m hourly. Or are you telling me I’m salary until I work overtime then I magically become hourly. The city has always done questionable things for its own benefit and this is no different.

Maurice Granton Sr. says his son, Maurice Granton Jr, was murdered in cold blood by the Chicago Police.

I guess Senior was not monitoring Junior's Facebook page. If he had been monitoring it, he would have seen the gun Junior was carrying when he was dispatched to the next level. Or, does Senior think scrubbing the page makes it forever disappear from the face of the Earth?

Good riddance Anthony “Photo” Munoz, who accused the feds of racism for raiding his father’s photo shop on 26th Street just west of California. After the feds revealed they had wiretaps proving Munoz’s Father was a high ranking gang member that was ordering hits, Anthony changed his tune and said he and his father were estranged. I’m sure the news reports are still out there. Happened around 10 years ago

If I might offer a comment on the current state of things: The powers that be keep harping on how the city has to pay for Police Actions. The latest is a payout for two dead when an oxygen thief ran from a traffic stop and killed two. If they want to buy the community's vote, at least let them do it with the slush fund cash that each alderman gets. They might be more likely to fight these BS lawsuits if it hurt them personally to cave in to the catered to set.

Why doesn't the union try to organize and mobilize the retirees? Just as some people volunteered to protect the military recruitment offices after that fatal shooting. Concealed carry limitations do not apply to the IROC retirees. Sone probably woukd volunteer to watch the stations. Station security is lax

7/25/2018 12:47:00 PM

Local government offices (Police stations)are off limits to LEOSA as are Forest Preserves and Parks and Schools..... The posting of a 'Gun Free" notice on a private establishment does not apply to LEOSA holders as the Ill civilian CCW law specifically states that it applies ONLY to those licensed under the state CCW law, which LEOSA has no connection with.

In Chicago you're not allowed to put razor/barbed wire around residential property. Commercial/business property are OK but the fence has to be at least 6 feet.

I was also thinking same about swiping. We are salary per the record. Guys on the desk and tact don't work a full tour but we have to stay our full tour when on the beat car. We hear it all the time; "Don't leave until 15 minutes after the hour". Why? If we are done we are done. If we are ALL working an 8,5 hour tour so be it.
---------------------
I have worked tact for years. And I spend more time at work on OT than you working a beat car do. Now go pass off your arrest to a tact guy cause you "dont do court"

Are you one of the tac officers who usually does NOT work a full shift....but regularly grabs some nonsense pinch close to end of tour and then stays OT for many hours , or maybe you just stay to "assist with the inventory" on the pinch of a fellow hard-charger...as you wait for states attorney to call back ---after you spend an hour eating before you actually call them.
