An Actual Recusal?
We seem to remember a fake "recusal" just a few weeks ago. Is this one for real?
- The case of a man accused of scuffling with Chicago cops will be handled by a special prosecutor after officers involved in the incident cited links between State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and the defendant.
Eight Chicago police officers filed a petition last week asking for the special prosecutor in part because Foxx appeared at a news conference April 6 at Rainbow/PUSH headquarters and later posed for photos with Jedidiah Brown, who has been charged with battery against police officers.
On Tuesday, Foxx’s office filed a recusal request with Circuit Judge Leroy K. Martin Jr. and Martin granted the recusal. A hearing for the appointment of a special prosecutor was set for May 9.
This is the case referenced here and elsewhere a week or two ago where gadfly and mouthy pussy Jedidiah Brown committed a Battery to the Police....and Crimesha passed on actually prosecuting a case where video proves the charge. The FOP and eight plaintiffs filed suit to remove Crimesha and reinstate the case.

Kim Foxx’s criminal associations & anti-police predispositions should be an automatic attachment to the form-motion and are sufficient to get a special prosecutor in every future case where an officer is a victim.

How can a states attorney who associates with criminals even keep her office,how can you associate with lawless people. Oh sorry what about a superintendent of police who marches in lockstep with criminals blocking a state expressway,or allows a sergeant to do a drive-by and not call for termination and a referral to states or U.S.attorney for violating a mentally challenged child to be shot. How about that scandal lieutenants cheating scandal? Because Martin is involved, this case should also be transferred to another county court system. After all, can you find a honest judge in cook county?

Excellent idea: see if anyone from another county is available. Only then, will fairness and balanced justice have a fighting chance.
Kim Foxx never made it to third chair.
Maybe Ms. Foxx should recuse her office from all Chicago Police cases and bring in prosecuters from other counties to deal with the Chicago Police or she could hire former ASA's like Jim McCay to be independent and deal with officers. The contentious relationship between felony and officers has always been strained and now that officers are voicing there concerns there must be anotherway to handle the cases
