Bill Conway for CCSA
Even though the regular democrats endorsed Crimesha, there's still a primary opponent:
- SCC, Bill Conway has announced he’s running for CCSA. He has our backs and is not a machine politician. Former ASA, and Lt in the US Navy. Need to get all unions to back him and get the word out!
- Bill Conway is a solid guy. As solid as they get but I’m sure some laptop warriors here will find some knit picky thing to get hung up on and bitch. No candidate is perfect but Conway comes pretty close. Don’t let what you here in the campaign sway you. Every politician has to say certain things, especially in crook county. But look deeper and see the things he has done and the choices he made. That tells you tons more about a person than speeches and political advertising.

Yes bill Conway is a good guy... but I am also aware of a very long term special prosecution supervisor who has recently left the states attorney office who is also going to run. HE is 100 percent the person we want in that position. I’m not taking anything away from Conway but when the guy announces his intention to run you will all see his resume and qualifications and understand why we should be voting for him. His “firing” was news a few months ago.. you can figure out the rest.

To those that still vote in this city, thanks. I think. But it always amazes me how ignorant the electorate really is. In a PRIMARY election, you must declare a political party, and then you get a ballot with the slate of that party's candidates. You can't get both. One or the other. However, what ballot you pull does not affect how you may vote in the general election in November. That being said, How about any republicans pull a democratic ballot in March and vote for AYONE EXCEPT Foxx. Then in November, vote for the Republican candidate. IF the impotent Cook county republican party even fields a candidate. Completely legal. You won't lose your birthday, you just won't be able to be slated by the republicans to run for office in the future. From the lack of organization of the repubs, that shouldn't be a problem.
S Conway a Democrat? If so he is automatically suspect. Not a machine Democrat, kind of hard to believe in Illinois isn't it. Birds of a feather. Isn't 90 plus years of Democrats enough. Wake up folks.

In other news, in a few weeks some person will announce they’re running. When you see this persons qualifications, you’ll all be like “wow, this person has qualifications”. And you will be right, because this person, wow, is truly a person. Has argued to prosecute other bad people in the past, has done great things for us people. This person truly has our backs. In 2 weeks you will all see how exactly right this comment is.

Trump's running unopposed in the Republican Primary. I'll be pulling a democratic ballot. Only problem will be if Cary Capparelli challenges Don Stephens in the IL Senate Republican Primary. May lose a lot of potential voters that would cross over to vote against Foxx in that far NW Side and Suburban District. Foxx needs to get knocked out in the primary election. The progressives will be coming out in droves to vote against Trump in the general election. If you're pulling a Democratic ballot, help Trump out and pick Sleepy Joe for the democratic nomination.
Conway is not splitting any vote IMO but you can bet your bottom dollar some white person is about to be approached by Phoni Toni to run and split his. That's how she rolls.
As a law enforcement officer you have to be part of the corrupt inner circle of Foxx-Preckwinkle, with something substantial to gain, if you are actually in support of another 4 years of Kim Foxx.
As a hard working, tax paying, law abiding citizen you have to be completely out of your mind to cast your vote for Foxx. Do not believe the manufactured numbers and statistics that they throw out as proof that not holding offenders responsible for their offenses is somehow going to reduce crime and make law abiding citizens safer. Everyone knows that the media is biased to democrats in this city, and listen to the 1st 10 minutes of each newscast, shootings (often by a individual out on a very low bond for prior gun infractions, as we find out later), car jackings, robbery, pursuits of fleeing felons, the list goes on. Crime is not down, unless you consider downplaying crime as down.

Former ASA here. Anyone is better than Foxx. But I wouldn’t put my money on Conway. He comes from a rich family. That’s why he doesn’t need the machine’s money. Might be no big deal except he probably used that privilege to buy his way out of the traditional rotation in the SAO. Unlike most ASA’s who have to go through Felony Review and lower assignments to get to the trial division, Conway and some other guy from Yale jumped several classes and went straight to a “special assignment” in the trial division from Traffic.
So if you want someone who is a true prosecutor, I don’t think Conway is your guy. Felony review sucks for most ASA’s and it takes years to get out, but Conway never had to do it. Being a 3rd chair also sucks for many ASA’s, but he never had to do that. And I doubt whether he ever tried a single murder.
I’m not anti-Conway and definitely not pro-Foxx, but I think the SAO needs somebody at the helm who actually tried the big cases as a line ASA. If you guys check your membership, try to find a single Detective who worked with this guy on Review. It won’t happen because he never went to Review. What makes him so special? Not his fault that he was born rich, but he could have easily insisted on taking the same path as everyone else. So it sounds like he’s just another politician using daddy’s money to get ahead. Just google him. Sun times says that his daddy is the billionaire co-founder of a large private equity firm. I don’t trust any guy who is too rich to work nights on Felony Review.
You can see Conway's video here, and for me the jury is still out. Just because he doesn't hate cops as much as the current administration doesn't mean he will be anymore helpful. I do think he will be better than Kimmie.
