The Machine Endorsed Whom?
- The Cook County Democratic Party is standing behind State's Attorney Kim Foxx in the lead up to the 2020 primary, despite the firestorm of criticism she's received after dropping charges against Jussie Smollett.
The Smollett case will certainly be a campaign issue, and Foxx had to answer questions about her decision on Friday. But the current state's attorney secured her party's endorsement heading into next year's primary.
So competency isn't an issue for the slating committee.
There's already at least one democratic candidate attempting to pr3imary her and a bunch of Republicans seeking support. They can come close to winning with the slogan, "I'm not Kim Foxx." A halfway decent push and they could unseat her.

Foxx was the Only one who showed up to the “slating meeting” to request the endorsement of the Democratic Party. That’s sad because anyone who would have shown up would have been wasting their time anyways with Preckwinkle as the one in charge of the party

Bill Conway is a solid guy. As solid as they get but I’m sure some laptop warriors here will find some knit picky thing to get hung up on and bitch. No candidate is perfect but Conway comes pretty close. Don’t let what you here in the campaign sway you. Every politician has to say certain things, especially in crook county. But look deeper and see the things he has done and the choices he made. That tells you tons more about a person than speeches and political advertising.
I don’t think Kim is going anywhere. I think she wins in a landslide. The average person has no idea what’s going on. I talk to some of my non police friends, smart people, but they can’t believe it when I say they’re I-bonding people for weapons offenses or bonds of $100 or $500. They can’t believe the plea deals these guys get. Drop 14 felony charges to convict him on 1 now downgraded misdemeanor. The average person sees crime and thinks “the police need to do something” not “why is this guy out on bond for his 8th weapons charge?”. The department needs to keep hammering this home. Keep pointing the finger at the CCSAO, put the blame on them where it belongs. That portal was a good start. Got to make the average person aware of what’s happening in their criminal justice system. They should know.
She deserves more jail time than Blago.
Bill Conway is the choice. More qualified than Joyce and will put the families money in the game. He is being advised by some good quality old timers who have left the CCSAO since Kim took over. So I'm willing to pay extra dues to the Useless FOP as long as they start running full page adds in the Slum Times and Finbune. These adds should outline a weekly case by case list of all arrest's, bonds that were given, pleas and recommendations made by the ASA's. But that would mean that someone on Washington St would have to wake up and only shoot 9 holes instead of 18. CWB can't do it all.

Our actual and more plausible nightmare is when they pull the plug on crazy uncle joe’s campaign and strongly encourage the Queen, mrs. obummer herself, to run. She seems to be holding out for a better deal! The left is putting together a perfect storm of incidents, like the collapse of our economy, race riots, lots of manufactured things to get the President out and put her in as our savior.
