There was no protesting, no riots , no celebrity meltdowns, no mention of race in the media. It didn’t fit their agenda and they need to be called out on their bs already. Nobody is buying their wolf cry bull shit anymore.

Along this line of thought of why?? Lori turned into an angry bird and threw tantrums and scolded us Chicagoans for wanting to jog on the lakefront; for wanting go to go church; for wanting our children to have formal graduations. We were told we would be arrested and go to jail if we did any of those outrageous things, because we were risking the safety and health of others.
So Lightfoot put the city on lockdown, closed every business, canceled every event and parade. Lori even told us that Chicago was not ready to open up and would not open up, even though Prickster gave the go ahead just last week. That's how dangerous it still was in Chicago, according to Lori. Stay inside, lockdown, stay away from each other, wear your mask and gloves 24/7.
This was only 2 days before Floyd died. So when the protestors wanted to march in Chicago 2 days after Floyd died, what miracle happened that made it safe for thousands of people from unknown destinations to march amongst us in our city? Lori welcomed them with open arms. Why? Wasn't Chicago on lockdown? Answer that question Lightfoot.
Lori created fear and put us life long Chicagoans on lockdown for months and shut down our businesses and put residents in financial debt. Then she invited stranger danger into our city for as many days as they want to roam freely wherever they wanted to go and take whatever they wanted to take and destroy whatever they wanted to destroy.
Now here we are again, Lori created even more fear and put us life long residents on a permanent lockdown, as most have no business to reopen, and the financial debt is unfathomable and can only result in bankruptcy.
Wait, and now today, just 8 days after Lightfoot said Chicago is still not safe to open up, she announced Chicago is ready to start opening up. Another miracle happened while I was sleeping?
Lightfoot should have never allowed any protest whatsoever. But she did, shock, so she should have allowed the protest to be contained to one day on Lake Shore Drive and close off all city streets, like CPD has been doing for decades. Lightfoot didn't. Why??? Would 92 people have been shot this weekend if Lori didn't allow the protest? Would 24 people have died this weekend if she kept the city on lockdown? No.
Please let us protest soon. This is the time because every hard working person in the city despises this dirty rotten lying fucking bitch right now, and they will all come.

The real change she wants and needs to save her political career is to change our rights in the contract. The only way that is happening is through a large raise 5 years 25%? Everyone knows that the city has historically not wanted to pay raises, so they gave these job protections instead. The community may be pissed about the size of the raise and “we can’t afford it,” but I recall many things that politicians in this city have said “we can’t afford not to.” Im not advocating for giving back contractural rights, I’m just noting that if she ever wants to leave her mark as the person who changed the police department, this is how she has to do it.
