Interesting how the left wants to deny the police of the single best weapon for dispersing violent crowds:
- Infectious disease specialists are circulating an online petition calling for police to stop using tear gas to disperse crowds during the coronavirus pandemic who are coming out in droves to mourn the death of George Floyd and decry police brutality.
While the doctors say they support the peaceful protesters, they are calling on police to use "public health best practices" during demonstrations.
The University of Washington created the petition, while University of California at San Francisco infectious disease specialist Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, helped craft the science behind it.
Tear gas, first used during WWI, causes people to cough, Chin-Hong said in an interview. And coughing during a pandemic is not a good thing.
You know what else isn't a good thing during a "pandemic"?

Ah. So these aren't real public health experts, these are social-justice public health experts. A real public health expert would condemn the mass gatherings. A real public health expert would know that riot agents don't just make crowds cough, they make them disperse. But as I've said, these aren't real public health experts. I'm so glad that I recently retired. I don't know why anyone would go into law enforcement, especially in a big city. The left have truly lost their mind and they DO NOT care about your well being. The city had many other non-lethal tools at their disposal and choose not to use any and just let the Police be cannon fodder. The LRAD high frequency noise generator would have had them running for the hills.
