- OT but how about the brand new CAPS “merit” Sergeant from 007 who’s nephew was arrested at 31st Street beach with a pistol. Said he had a CCL. Of course that turned out to be a fib! Well it is said that auntie Sergeant stormed the 002nd District Tact office, uncuffed her nephew, and tried to “unarrest” him. Seems that this was not looked upon with favor..... same Sergeant who orders her officers to disarm themselves before getting into an ambulance with a customer, providing security to the CFD. Can’t make this stuff up!
It's time to start blaming their sponsors as well as the "merit" pick. After all, someone thought this person met the unknown and unwritten standards for "meri-clout-orious" promotion and we're pretty sure we could have met (and far exceeded) this obviously low standard.

The commander of 002 wanted to blow the whole thing off. It’s funny merit Josh is always bashing the last two Superintendents and saying how dumb and incompetent everyone is, and now this.
Wallace tried to blow this off. He’s said he’s done with this job several times since not being made Deputy chief. All he does now is bash DC Jerome and everyone above him.
This merit shit really got out of control with Eddie Johnson. Not only was he an incompetent idiot he promoted dozens of incompetent idiots and many of those same incompetent idiots are except ranks now. My favorite is SP. merit Sgt in 011. 011 doesn’t get a lot of merit Sgt’s as Sgts have to work there. Every watch has bounced her. Last I heard she was back on midnights. You never see her so who knows. She even got bounced from the CAPS office. Lol how hard is the CAPS office. She left one time in the middle of a TRR that she was to do for one of her cars and she left cause “her eyes hurt.”
SP is absolutely worthless and whoever made her merit should be tarred and feathered. Officers cannot stand her as she is stupid and worthless. She’s just waiting for her lawsuit against the Dept.

Waller came from 002 and was 100% merit. So are the Superintendent finalists. How can you be an instructor at the Academy for decades and never pass a promotional test Snelling? Of the three finalists, neither has what it takes, but the best of the three would be Novales because of his experience but he’s not black enough. Snelling is a waste not because of the stuff that was posted about him and women, he’s single so what, but he has less than 4 years in leadership in lieutenant and above realm. That outsider was just a place filler so Johnson could do what he promised. He promised Larry Snelling the job in April after he won. We also know that Johnson didn’t have his peoples pick someone that doesn’t look like him. These next four years are going to be hell for us. August 13th is doomsday for CPD. That’s when the new appointed Stupedintendent Snelling will be taking over from a waste of tax payers dollars Waller. The Democrats won again. Let’s make sure to make friends with the youths from last night who were only trying to express themselves

They need to completely get rid of merit again, like Charlie Beck did when he came in. Look at the last few recently made merit SGTS and LTS. All of them go straight to units. Zero go to patrol. No one should be able to get merit twice either. It’s the #1 cause of why this departments leadership is in shambles.
Turn on the BWC when such things happen.
Speaking of Merit. Let’s talk about the 1st Lt class from the new list last August. So you have the top 20-25 off the list not one has been promoted but you know who has 6 of the 8 merit picks. Most didn’t even go to a district and others went right to Northwestern Command School but can’t spell “Congratulations”.
It took all of 12 days for one to be made after promotion. You need 2 years to make Captain but nothing for Commander? Apparently just 12 days as Lieutenant.

Merit....Takes the meaning out of Merit in Merit Promotions. I just retired and for my entire career, there were single, double, and Triple merit promotees. There were a few good ones, but the majority of them were assholes who had no management, or people skills.
I remember during one contract the city tried to request a higher "merit" percentage. Fortunately, we shut them down. I wouldn't follow CPD current leadership in into any riot or civil unrest. It was time to get out and I'm glad I did.
I've seen hundreds of good people who didn't make rank while some unqualified jackass did. I don't imagine that is going to change anytime soon.

Story goes he cuts his officers about 6 hrs early lololol a few months back & he goes out drinking to a party while on the clock where everyone who works in 10 are also there but off the clock. Someone at the party allegedly turns him in because they realized he only worked 2 hrs & this was his his routine for months of always leaving hours early between watches & never turning in slip to ever burn time. Then he runs & cries to other Sgts & officers how its bullshit someone blew him in & how much the Commander was screwing him over somehow. Thats how people found, out from him, he spread & confirmed his own story nobody knew about lololol. Could you be dumber? Lolol Merit hack all pissed he got caught taking advantage of his spot then complains about it being unfair? Maybe next time Sgt Merit dont flaunt the fact you only work 2-4 hours a night & smugly laugh about it in front of people while they all work full tours answering jobs all night while you hold yourself down on the work your officers are doing then leave the district. Speaking of merit let’s not forget SWAT. Earned not given. Yeah right. Embarrassing how they would go to their clout and beg to make rank. The knee pads really help.

Oh shut up DEVGRU wannabe! Name me one time swat has had to save patrol? And don't even try to bring up the kulbida 8ncident from like 10 years ago because if it was anything more than a superficial wound the guy would have died waiting 3 hours for you guys to circle jerk each other before you did anything!
And then there is Baz Khoushaba. Merit failed first time because his duty weapon was stolen from his car in his garage and then used to shoot someone. Didn't serve any time. Second time promoted and returned to his assigned specialized unit where he is abully and causing people to leave. Disappears during the day and then returns to work overtime. Could have done that work if he didn't disappear all day. Take a look at what he's working on during overtime and I think you'll find that work should have been done during regular duty hours.
