Crimesha Sued
- Two Chicago police officers accused of shooting an unarmed man and then lying about it were acquitted by a judge Thursday.
Sgt. Christopher Liakopoulos and Officer Ruben Reynoso were within their rights to protect themselves when they opened fire, wounding 23-year-old Miguel Medina twice on July 22, 2022, Cook County Judge Lawrence Flood ruled.
“The officers were not the aggressors,” Flood said, stating it was Medina and a juvenile who approached the their vehicle.
“I find both officers acted within reason in firing their weapons under these particular circumstances,” the judge said following a two-day bench trial.
Now, a lawsuit has been filed against Crimesha and her toadies for Civil Rights violations and attempting to railroad two cops for being shot at:
We're trying to see if there's a live link to the entire suit - it's about twenty pages long, so we can't post it as photos - but it's interesting reading to see how Crimesha's office lied in front of the Grand Jury to secure an indictment that was bound to fail at trial.

Best of luck CL
Sorry those two had to go thru that unbelievable nonsense but so thankful for the lawsuit 🤞 hoping it is successful!
How many of these lawsuits are gonna get shut down before people realize she has IMMUNITY. She can’t be sued. Judges can’t be sued. Period. All she has to say is that her office acted on the information they were given and did their jobs. Poof. Dismissed.
Wow! They’re even suing the BIA investigator. Poor guy got stuck with it and had no say.
Is the office being sued or her individually? If the office, then she doesn't give a shit, she ain't paying, but if it's her personally, then it will have an impact.
Win, win, win and the taxpayers will dole out a ton of cash. Maybe, just maybe there will be punitive damages awarded and the defendants in the case will be made to pay a ton of cash out of their pockets. Now wouldn’t that be wonderful?

Time for the federales to step in and put the hammer to crimesha and her crew...
The Contrarian has the complaint

Deep down these assholes know they have loser cases. The punishment is the process. Every case this POS McCarthy has been in charge of has lost. If she was
This won’t go anywhere… Judge Alonso previously served as an Associate Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County where he presided over felony cases in the Criminal Division. Before taking the bench, Judge Alonso worked as an assistant public defender in the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender for over a decade.
When he was at 26/Cal he ruled an NG (not guilty) in a 16yr old who did a murder in 010 and it was captured on video, the weapon was recovered and DNA, the offense’s DNA was present on the gun.
Sorry Chris, but I doubt Alonzo will tule anything in the police’s favor- he’s one of them.
BIA SGT getting sued. Good! I guess you're not getting your merit promotion. You didn't have the balls to tell the bosses it was bullshit. F*ck you EW
Her immunity is not absolute. She can be held liable if it is proven that if her subordinates provided false evidence before a grand jury.
The discovery results will VERY interesting. If the officers can uncover WILLFUL AND WONTON actions by the defendants, maybe that will override any claims of immunity.
Best of luck to CL and RR.
I always thought that Detective March and officers Walsh and Gaffney should have sued as well after being found not guilty from the Laquan McDonald shooting
It's not the first strike of the hammer that breaks the rock. But all strikes still mean something.
They can be sued. They have very extensive immunity protections, but not absolute immunity. Period.
Maybe is they make enough noise they can get a settlement and an admission of malicious prosecution. Lets give these officers their due process before we get so negative, shall we?
She has immunity
Did the BIA investigator make their position public? trying to keep their spot... screw them
Agreed. Their prosecutions were political scapegoats. Why didn't they prosecute 800 back then?
So what? We have qualified immunity in some cases and still get sued. Do like the ASA, keep throwing sh$t, something will stick in time.
Nah, fuck Him. He chose to work at BIA
Prosecutors are not required to submit to the grand jury evidence favorable to the defendant or evidence negating guilt. Any police officer who has been doing this long enough knows that.
Just to get him to flip on the stand and testify regarding what he was instructed to do by those above.
You mean her fellow comrades at the corrupt Dee Oh Jay? 😂😂😂
Whatever the fuck you’re smoking, smoke more! 👌🏻
Immunity didn’t work out too well for that clown DA who prosecuted the Duke lacrosse players for raping a black stripper (she made it up).
BIA Investigators better stop drinking the koolaid that their Chief pours them. It’s not enough to come on here and cry that she’s changing the narratives on your reports when you’re signing off on them.
There are no poor guys in the BIA they’re corrupt.
My thoughts exactly.
BIA sergeant getting sued. Good! Stop carrying Chief Talley’s water and doing her dirty work. Your merit promotion went to her administrative secretary. Now go down there and list your assets while she dodges accountability.
Felony Review is leaving the IAD holding the bag and the IAD Chief is leaving the IAD Sergeant/ Investigator holding the bag.
That makes no sense. How can she be held liable if HER Subordinates provide false information. They did it, not her
