Under-Performing
So the non-updated totals from HeyJackass.com:
- 2 dead, 24 maimed
That's with a number of hours to go on Sunday yet, so expect it to be slightly higher. We'll update Monday morning after they do.
UPDATE: 5 and 33 for the entire weekend, but within our hour restrictions (1700 Friday to 0001 hours Monday) it's 5 and 28.
Someone asked why we trust HeyJackass.com's numbers but not their hours - it has nothing to do with trust and everything to do with tradition. We never counted Monday's tally in the weekend totals before HeyJackass existed and we just kept it going that way - they make it easier to keep track of. Without a definitive end time you just keep artificially extending the weekend.

Same clouted people in charge for 25 years. Still dealing with them and their people. Just go away and get rid of the guy that answers your phone calls too.
Chicago is like a third world country the way the Mexicans are "celebrating " their independence. Highways are a mess, they are blocking streets, highways and anything else they can. Learn to behave or go back.
Apparently a surprise lead shower has increased the batting average a little bit.
Not enough
EMS & Hospital ER's have gotten better at saving lives of gun shot victims, that why death totals have gone down, but wounded UP.

Hey Jackass counts everything within City limits, as stated on their site:
" We count homicides, whereas the CPD counts murders. A homicide, or a non-fatal shooting, regardless of type or by whom, within the city limits of Chicago counts towards our total metric, including anything on the expressways. CPD-involved, ISP-involved and justifiable homicides all count. Reckless homicides may count if the Medical Examiner rules that the cause of death was a homicide. Suicides do not count. Additional definitions can be found on the Glossary page."
So the medics are better at saving people or people are shooting themselves for some the city's victim fund and a free trip to the hospital?
The ‘community’ has run out of people/folks to kill or shoot. The south & west sides have been over hunted.
Great job by those in 008 and on the weekend detail rolling out of Daley. Really had some control of Pulaski unlike years past.

there would have been more shootings in the hood but as usual on the weekends a lot of them like to go to the parks and forest preserves far away from their homes to show everyone that they do not know what a garbage can is used for
