Shooting, SWAT Response
A person was shot and a Chicago police officer injured during a police SWAT response Thursday afternoon in Mount Greenwood.
Paramedics responded about 3:45 p.m. to the 11000 block of South Millard Avenue, where there was an ongoing SWAT incident, and transported the individual with a gunshot wound to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said. Their condition was unknown.
The police officer was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital for a “very minor issue,” the spokesperson said. It wasn’t immediately known how the officer was injured.
Initial reports were that the offender had "killed his family" or shot someone in the house. Hopefully, his wound(s) were self-inflicted so as to spare the Officer the railroading investigation of twenty-one oversight agencies currently in operation.

twenty-one oversight agencies currently in operation. There's part if the budget problem. It used to be just state police.
Can only hope the offender is dead as a door jail.
This is your friendly reminder: Cuck F0PA. Looking at you, Jess and your little incel lackey. To quote SLJ: "Tick tock, M*********er!"
Offender 26…parents probably moved to get away from gangs.
Why wasn't social services called instead of you? Now a CPD officer has a couple of years of hell in front of him or her.
Insanity comes to Mt.Greenwood.
Probably not far off. The listed owner of the house moved there from 46th and Honore in 2012, when the offender would've been at prime gang recruiting age.
Should have called in the Sheriff since he lives a few blocks away, so he could show all his de-escalation skills as he is such a proven LEO. Oh that’s right he’s never made an arrest.🤡🤡🤡
C'mon--where's the asshole's IR photo???
And nobody (COPA) could do your job for 2 seconds. ...but all give you free "advice." Why are some officer's dead/injured? "Stand down" orders, I am sure. STAY STRONG, and once retired, never look back.
