Thoughts tonight for Assman009 who is getting a double knee surgery. He hasnt been shy of telling absolutely everyone he sees about it. recovery time for major surgery...two to three days per him. Never change assman009, a legend.
I was looking at applying for CPD but reading the blog has convinced me not to. Any suburb departments worth applying for?

An OIG investigation established that a CPD Lieutenant had an unlawful financial interest in City business in violation of the GEO, MCC § 2-156-110. The GEO prohibits City employees from having a financial interest, valued at more than $1,000, in any City contract. The subject is the president of a company that entered into a subcontractor agreement to provide services as an independent contractor in relation to CDA’s O’Hare 21 project. In bid documents submitted to the City prior to
obtaining the contract with CDA, the subject’s company was identified as part of the subcontracting team with an estimated 10% fee.
OIG’s investigation further established that the subject failed to disclose their business with the City on their Statements of Financial Interest (SOFIs) filed with BOE for the years 2021 through 2024, in violation of the GEO, MCC § 2-156-160.
Apparently the new overtime initiatives aren't what they seem. More or less they're for dictating/controlling OT. There's a great disparity of overtime being given district to district (no kidding since manpower isn't properly distributed). The department wants to put a lid on it. Rumor is only 8 POs per start time.

This blowhard and the Mayor Blowhard had addressed Chicago’s Very Own Violence Interrupters at a recognition ceremony on Thursday. To hear them talk the interrupters have brought crimes down exponentially.
So a couple years ago the program was costing us 2 million dollars a year. This year it is costing us 30 million a year. If the program is so successful why do they need more money? Maybe this money should be going to police departments instead.
So how do
we know how the violence interrupters stopped the violence in it’s tracks. Do they document these incidents in written reports? Do they have body camera videos recording these events? Where is the documented proof?
And of course Pritzker demeans Trump because he may withhold federal funds to Chicago. This is another Democrat scam to buy voters. Trump needs to DOGE Chicago and Illinois. And the only real way to stop the violence is arrest, prosecution and incarceration, which is the only proven method

Unit 050 (Ohare) … Spiro has run the unit into the ground. Haven’t had any bids in several months. Losing another 30 officers this year and no one replacing them. He’s more worried about parking placards. Ohare just had its first actual shooting a few months back in Terminal 2 and it wasn’t even discussed in roll call And just yesterday a man got passed TSA with a loaded gun and was able to board a plane. Spiro is an absolute joke. He walks around the station displaying his arrogance. There is no leadership on any of the watches. No communication between watches either. The unit is so short if it wasn’t for OT the beats wouldn’t even be manned. And let’s not even get into the vehicle situation. Can someone from Aviation please do an audit and bring to light how dangerously short the unit is. Something needs to be done and it needs to come down from a higher level.
Chicago Inspector General Deborah Witzburg made an interesting comment at Wednesdays city council meeting. She related that she faces an uphill battle to "pay down" Chicago's "deficit of legitimacy." Deficit is becoming a popular word in this town.

IMO: Lake Forest but am unaware regarding any openings. Maybe bannockburn or Libertyville? Libertyville has a mixed lib/normal population. Vernon hills, Deerfield, highland park, Evanston are all behind enemy lib lines. Lake bluff, is lib but may be ok for LEOs. Waukegan and north Chicago are mini Chicago’s. Barrington should be ok. Hinsdale, might be a good one. But, that town has been trending lib. Clarendon hills, oak brook, Darien, La grange, river forest, oak park, riverside might all be too lib aka they love to handcuff LEOs. Plus coke brook has seen a lot of crime. Homer Glen possibly ? Antioch, Volo, and further north seem to vary between positive and not so. Hope this helps.
In cook county…Berwyn. There are others that are similar too. Ask to do a ride along and speak with cops about the culture of the place . Read over each agency’s contact. A secure pension, good healthcare, and good culture are more important than if an agency lets you chase cars for the driver looking at you wrong .
