Chicago Media Catches Up
Remember, you don't hate the media nearly enough:
- ABC Channel 7 - GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (WLS) -- A suburban park district is investigating what happened over the weekend when staffers were overwhelmed by hundreds of young people.
- Fox Channel 32 - A rowdy crowd of teenagers and young adults prompted the early closure of a pool Saturday afternoon in Glen Ellyn.
- NBC Channel 5 - A suburban community pool closed early over the Fourth of July weekend after unruly behavior erupted when a large crowd swarmed the area, police said.
We're sure there's more, but one has to wonder why they waited almost four days to cover what ended up becoming a national story. It probably has to do with the video spreading far and wide to the point they couldn't actually ignore it any more and continue to call themselves "reporters."
Kind of the like the Philadelphia shooting where there were 3 dead and ten wounded - a far cry from Chicago's 4 dead and 14 wounded. What's the main difference?
The Chicago shooting had a single grainy video of the suspect vehicle rounding the corner after unloading on the crowd. The Philadelphia shooting has four or more people upping their pistols and unloading down the block at another set of shooters, including some fool unloading a switched-Glock over the heads of six or more peoples (or folks) heads.
We have to wonder how many of the dead/injured were friendly fire.

Fucking unbelievable. They all made it seem like it was local teens and referred to it being a get together for local college students that got out of control. Not one of them mentioned the animals being from Chicago and “bringing 31st street “ to the suburbs.
The ABC video was blurred deliberately but you could still tell they were black but didn’t show any thing of interest, nothing like in the video linked to in your original story.

This pinpoints why the vast majority of civilized Chicagoans don’t watch, read or trust anything from all Chicago media outlets. Their goal is to ignore and sanitize ‘the real problem’ and quickly blame others. How many tv ads must they display that desperately tries to brainwash you about certain culture’s behavior before they have to report the facts, ‘grandma shot, red line assault, teen riot, etc.’
The media does not want to upset SPECIAL people.

The culture and mindset of the inner city is bankrupt and corrupt and that includes their elected officials. The common excuse, no matter what city your are talking about, no matter which elected officials you have, is that violent crime in the minority areas is the result of " historic disenfranchisement, white supremacy, racism, lack of jobs". They never mention, at least in Chicago, the tens of millions of tax dollar pumped into the black and hispanic neighborhoods every year, the huge amount of tx dollars given to the schools , more than most school districts in the country, a record low unemployment rate. Never personal responsibility and family dysfunction. Someone needs to tell the inner city folks/peoples, that you actually have to finish high school, not have multiple babies with multiple men, and actually go out and actively look for employment.

Oh, I can answer my own question - of course not, but Glen Ellyn GEMS are too politically-correct to acknowledge that BLM'ing Black teens are happy to engage DuPage County suburbs in their Summer of Funnin'. Liberal education acceptance of bad grammar and poor education outcome's "ebonics", has lead to acceptance of uncivil and rude behavior under misnomer "multi-culturalism", and now requires acceptance of plain lawlessness, physical aggregation, and fear as "don't demonize our youth". Are we on the third generation now of this behavior in the black community? Since the late '60s? It is not only tolerated and supported, but taught as proper behavior. It wasn't like this a century ago. And now it is spreading out of black neighborhoods. How does denial of this problem solve anything?
And to add to your list, "be employable." In other words, be able to show up to work on time, don't mouth off to customers or your supervisors, don't do drugs on company time or on company property, don't steal property from work, and learn to follow instructions. My last employer was big on hiring "yutes" b/c he got tax credits for doing so, but he found out that you lose a lot more than you gain when you do.
Diversity is a strength.
Glen Ellyn needs to experience some cultural awareness. Not in a classroom taught by a social change subject matter expert, but through application and awareness of inna city persons at risk from certain 606 zip codes. Education complete with wildings, jackings, pistol smoke, weed smoke and other people's property being given to their historical, rightful owners.
