CTU Political Tentacles
Austin Berg is the Executive Director of the Chicago Policy Center and political gadfly who shines a very bright spotlight on the political underbelly of the Machine and the corruption contained within. This piece he wrote shows how embedded the CTU is in the upcoming elections and how much money they're prepared to spend to keep owning Conehead's ass:
The Chicago Teachers Union plans to spend more than $4 million on local politics ahead of the next mayoral election, according to a leaked internal budget document shared with The Last Ward. The budget also shows record spending on union overhead and officer salaries.
But how much influence that political spending will actually create remains unclear, with recent races suggesting CTU money carries more baggage with Chicago voters than ever before.

The union's failure to produce audited financial statements to its members is a bit of a red flag.

The CTU posts are the ones I always tend to skip but I just have to get it off my chest. As dumb as the CTU is why are the writers so obsessed with writing about them? We don’t talk crap about any other city workers but them. It’s honestly annoying and it shows how obsessive writers really are with teachers. That’s just my two cents. Back to my beat.

The CTU owns Johnson and the City Council. They are the most powerful political entity in the state. Changing the state’s political course starts with dismantling the CTU.
I hope they have to spend (waste) every cent of that money and find out that you can't polish a turd like Conehead. His approval rating is at 5-6 percent and falling. It can't be too hard to beat him in a fair election.

Since you don’t read CTU stories, I guess you are like the typical Chicagoan. You think that it doesn’t affect you. They are breaking the city financially while providing a sub-standard education. CTU teachers make about double the salaries of teachers in other places and yet, they don’t provide even a nominal education to the kids. This is national news, Chicago is like Detroit, a good lesson for other cities. Whatever Chicago is doing, successful cities are doing the opposite.
All Marxists/ Communists should be considered to be terrorists because they are. Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao killed about 100 million people or more, only the most ignorant would choose to think that Marxism and Socialism are smart moves.
