He's Dead...No Wait....Yep...Nope
This has the potential to be the most entertaining execution in US History:
Tennessee plans to execute Byron Black on Tuesday for the 1988 murders of a woman and her two young daughters, despite concerns from his attorneys that a device implanted to restore his heartbeat could repeatedly shock him as he's put to death.
The device - an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, or ICD - is at the center of a court battle that has been unfolding for several weeks. Black's attorneys want the device deactivated at or immediately before his lethal injection Tuesday morning.
If it isn't, they say, the effects of the lethal injection drugs will cause the ICD to shock Black's heart, perhaps repeatedly, in an attempt to restore it to a normal rhythm. This will cause Black a prolonged and torturous execution, the attorneys argue, violating Eighth Amendment protections against cruel and unusual punishment.
So he'll be subject to lethal injection, which first renders him unconscious, then paralyzes muscular responses to stimuli, then stops his heart. Meanwhile the defibrillator (placed there at taxpayer expense no doubt) will (theoretically) be trying to restart his heart with a series of electrical shocks, while the drugs continue to do their work.
Personally, we're hoping that it takes a few hours, and he feels every single minute of it. That would be a small measure of justice for the deceased and their family.

Fuck him.
Well....How about if we just hang him then ?
I really think liberalism is a mental illness like they say.. after years of studying these idiots they all have that “look & ideology “
Energizer batteries? Keep goin' and goin' and goin'!
Crime done in 1988, 37 years later they are finally going to execute this piece of shit. Great system we have isn't. And how much has it cost taxpayers to keep this shithead alive all these years. The judicial system is a joke. One of the things I really hate about this country. How about just hanging or shooting this scumbag. Nope have to be as kind as possible to societies most foul. I hope he dies a horrible death.
Let's avoid the guy experiencing any pain... bring out the guillotine and lop off his head!
Kill him the way he killed the mom and kids. If he beat them to death with a baseball bat do the same to him.
Hire some deranged inmate to do the job. He get one month deducted from his sentence for each strike with the bat till he’s dead.
That would be a refreshing change and quite entertaining to see people executed in the way that brought them to be executed.
Fatal dui crash? Strap him into a car and have a remote control car slam into him at 100mph.
That would be fun to watch.
The nation needs more like this line em up and stack em high now it’s time to say bye bye

Firing squad
Just call him twitch
Then deport him.
How bout a bullet to the skull
So you tape a magnet on his chest over the device.
"We're to close for lethal injection, switching to guns."
Firing Squad with a target be placed at his heart, that way there will be nothing to for the device to shock and 11 FMJ rounds and 1 blank are probably cheaper than the drugs to kill him.
Up against the brick wall, blindfold, last smoke and bang. Charge his family if he has any the cost of the bullet.
Hand him a magnet and let him turn it off himself.
Who gave a death row prisoner a defibrillator .I couldn’t get new knees until the day I went off city heath and on to Medicare.
The Solution is Hanging.
Throughout the Thirteen Colonies, Hanging was the most-common means of Execution.
General Washington ordered Hangings of his Soldiers in the Continental Army.
When The Constitution was written (1787) and ratified ( 1789), Hanging was common in the Thirteen States.
The Uniform Code of Military Justice, as well as the antecedent Articles of War and the Articles for the Government of the Navy, authorizes two means of Execution: Hanging and Firing Squad.
Two highly- developed, prosperous Nations— Japan and Singapore— Hang Muderers.
Implanted Medical Devices are entirely unaffected by Hanging.
I was thinking of a firing squad, but hanging will work...
Give it a try and see if they were right. Then adjust accordingly.
Is the electric chair not available?
Incredible that fine legal minds don't grasp the logical difference between the words "and" and "or". The constitutional constraint doesn't say "cruel OR unusual". Nor does it just say "cruel". It says "cruel AND unusual". Even if electric shock could be deemed cruel, it certainly isn't unusual - it was the most common and preferred method of execution for many decades in nearly all states, and is still used in 9 states.
This made me laugh. So simple, so funny.
Just remove the batteries from the device and call it a night, just don't forget to turn off the lights.
I think singapore, which has almost no crime, executes drug dealers within 2 weeks of conviction. And trials take hours not years. Time to start unaliving these demons 😈
Old Sparky is still available in select Red States. 6.000 volts of juice, snap, crackle, pop!
Not only did this lousy human get 37 years of life, a cot and 3 hots, tv, iPad, etc, taxpayers paid for 37 years of legal assistance to try and get him off. Hard to call his demise -finally- comes anywhere close to being “justice” for the families of the woman and two little kids he massacred.
Too Effing Hoo!
