This Keeps Happening
Hey Conehead, the signs aren't working:
An 18-year-old man was shot and critically injured during a robbery aboard a Red Line train at the 95th Street station late Saturday night, according to Chicago police.
The shooting happened around 10:02 p.m. inside a train car when an unknown male offender approached the victim and demanded his belongings, CPD said. The robber then pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the victim in the chest and right side. Paramedics transported the victim to the University of Chicago Hospital.
An officer who reviewed surveillance video said CTA footage shows the gunman fleeing the station in a group. The group was described as Black males, all wearing ski masks, who ran east on 95th Street and boarded a northbound bus, possibly a #3 King Drive.
Gee, an accurate description of the offenders....must be CWB!
In the meantime, all those metal detectors and x-ray screenings along random frisking and body cavity searches don't seem to be stopping people from bringing guns on the CTA.

a larger ..." No Gun Zone " sign should do it...
The Usual Suspects.
Imagine that.
now that the criminals are armed on mass transit, can the law abiding citizens be allowed to protect themselves with firearms too? Pretty please with sugar on top Governor fatass?
I was there. There was some chatter about the victim intervening in a robbery and was shot as a result but that seems unlikely especially on the red line
and the band played on.....
Where is Paul Kersey when we need him?
Only the criminals are allowed to carry without repercussions
Conehead said he is gonna use the full force of government to stop people from smoking on the cta. Ppl need to be able to enjoy their ride he said.
Getting smoked is something different
the liberal news will report that the gun was black, the mask he wore was black and his gym shoes were black but somehow avoid saying he was black

“Right on brother, Right on”
From fox8 news
VICTORIA, Australia (WJW/AP) — Starting in September, it will be illegal to own, carry, use, buy or sell a machete without a valid exemption or approval in the Australian state of Victoria.
It’s part of an ongoing effort to curb knife violence in the state.
To help owners safely dispose of the large knives, dozens of disposal bins are being rolled out across the state.
According to a press release on the Premier of Victoria’s website, more than 40 bins will be available at police stations during an amnesty period which will run from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30.
“The heavy duty steel bins are roughly 900 millimetres by 1200 millimetres in size, with a 70 millimetre concrete base to ensure they are secure and have feet to allow for safe removal,” the press release states.
Those who fail to comply face up to two years in prison or a fine of more than $47,000 AUD, which is roughly $30,500 American dollars.
“These knives destroy lives – so we’re taking them off the streets,” Victoria Premier Jacinta Allan is quoted in the press release.
Conehead is only worried about going after the smokers on CTA property so it will pump more money into his empty piggy bank.
You will notice that they did not seem to be smoking so the Mayor has that under control
Has to be fake news to make the mayor look bad.
Charles Bronson woulda been out gunned on the Red Line.
BUT…. was anyone smoking?
I hope none were smoking.
So much for global warming with all those people wearing ski masks in Chicago in August!
Crazy Train or Train in Vain take your pick.
I got it. if the bad guys were smoking, coneheads smoking task force will be activated to bestow the harshest penalties allowed by law.
Chicago needs to do a huge, expensive media blitz to remind people (& folks) that firearms are prohibited on CTA property...
That will surely solve the problem...
Right...? ? ?
The Red Line brings lots of icky bad people to my pretty neighborhood.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
I'd fuckin walk before I took the Ded Line....
Just wait until IL legislation make vehicle ownership completely cost prohibitive and everyone ends up on mass transportation. The "flag cars" and their caravans will be the only vehicles on the roads, comrade.
Chicago is a broken city.
Which is better in life, to ask for forgiveness or to beg for permission?
Ride like Bernie.
Wearing a mask, aka covering one's face, is the sign of the bandito, (no, not that Bandito).
Think of that mask as the prime reference point to target selection placement.
Adjust your point of aim accordingly.
good chance the shooter was out on safety act no cash bail.
Back in the early 1980s the CTA cracked down on smoking on the trains. 3 Tac officers encountered a person smoking and told him to put out the cigarette. He refused. When the officers went to arrest him resistance was encountered. Turned into a major brawl during which the smoker got something broken (arm?). The smoker eventually got a cash settlement and the Tac officers got jail time.
All over a cigarette.
The Red Line is the "end of the line" for many. Rape, robbery assaults, murder and smoke free environment are all included in the price of the entrance fee.
If they ever extend the Red Line to lovely Roseland, more youths for the Loop. Has a nice ring to it.
Why do they still allow masks?
The surgeon general said that smoking cigarettes can be hazardous to your health and wealth.
I call bullshit on this!
Masks are allowed to inhibit identification of the perps.
