This was forwarded to us by a couple of people.
It seems the State Lodge also filed charges against their First VP (who happens to be the current president of Lodge 7) for pocketing campaign funds and threatening to withhold the State Lodge share of dues monies from the Lodge 7 collections.
John is taking a "voluntary leave of absence" from the State Lodge First VP spot and the State Lodge has withdrawn the charges temporarily....and for a very particular reason. Read it here (click for larger view):
Read that sentence at the end of the first paragraph:
- "....ongoing investigations of alleged misconduct by outside law enforcement authorities."
We don't know about you, but that screams "feds" to us.
Not only that, but we're told that State Lodge officials have been meeting with and providing statements to "outside law enforcement authorities."

A few hours after the Illinois State Board meeting when Catanzara decided to take a voluntary leave of absence he went directly to the 100 Club function with his fellow comrades . John Catanzara under investigation by numerous law enforcement agencies investigating criminal malfeasance of Union dues and he’s right back at it like nothing has changed . JCat is now definitely after the investigation wraps up there is a definite possibility his life will change dramatically .
No more cruises , golf outings , BBQ’s , use of a credit card up to $10k per month and finally the light is about to shine on him .
The sad part is all of the people on that Board except for a few three years ago allowed him to spend millions of dollars on what we may never find out .

Actually Jcat is pissed at everyone at the pension board because none of them came out and endorsed his Drop Program in Springfield. What I’m pissed at is Tom Beyna making a six figure salary on top of his pension. I talked to Kevin Reichart the Director of the pension fund. He told me the decision to hire Beyna was his alone and tried to justify it. None of the elected representatived get a dime for the Pension Board for salary or office expenses. The LT and the Dic are detailed from the CPD to the Pension Board and get a monthly parking pass. The Retired and the Sgt. also get no salary or office expenses either. {Expenses other} they get their parking reimbursed on days they are there to the tune of about $20 a day. I’m going to do a FOIA to see if we are paying Beyna’s health care or is he in a 401k? I’ll post it when I get it.
Just the other night I attend the 100 club gala at the 4seasons and who do I see there? JRat Ofcourse. He was in full damage control. He was trying to suck up to every big wig donor and was polishing some attorneys at the gala. They said and did nothing because that Board would have looked completely different if he had . This allowed him access to the bank and only when he would not allow access to the financials did this happen .

We still don't have a contract and this financial agreement lasts till 2027, when the members only agreed to 2025. John got sneaky and extended it by 2 years and let the city decide on the percentage for the last 2 years. So all this justifies him stealing from us. Those ballots were not late. They were allegedly counted by the company hired by lodge 7 and not in the final ballot count. They cheated. They are scumbags.

When Pat Murray first got elected, he went upstairs and worked on medical grievances. Pat had a big problem with the medical terms. Being from Bridgeport Pat had trouble with most two syllable words. So, he got moved to legal defense. Before Pat got elected to FOP he worked as a P.O. in the City Counsel Chambers at City Hall. He never stopped playing for the other team. Pat was making Captain’s pay at FOP and working the parking lots at the United Center. FOP became his part-time job. Pat would show up at FOP at 10 am, go eat lunch at the Palace Café at 1130 and would be working at Red Top Parking at 1530. Pat could get away with being a part-time employee because Kathy Moore was running Legal Defense. But Pat wanted her to go so he could hire a friend in her place. When FOP let her go they gave her a very large severance package with a large non-disclosure agreement because she knew all the bullshit that was going on. Pat is a box of rocks.
Bartlett and company asked people to hand carry to the post office because of strange things happening with the mailings to the south side zip codes. People hand carried to the Post office IN TIME to be counted. Those were obviously placed in a separate bin for collection. Kathy went to the post office to collect ballots WITH the election committee. She should not have had anything to do with the collection, the ballots, the count etc. Those ballots were not counted. John glossed over that at a meeting after the election. John said to Kathy “ where are all the other ballots that we paid for?” she answered she didn’t know. This is a fact. Someone needs to look at the line item for how many were returned and postage paid for and how many were counted. The numbers won’t match. They didn’t win comfortably. John won by 1000 Monica won by 800 votes Rob won by 400 votes Backstabbich won by 700 votes There were 211 over votes for trustee because John decided to run 20 something people for 17 spots. And 22655 undervotes. I think you currently have 12 of the 17 retirees RETIRED. And another 3 or 4 of the top board members RETIRED. Why are you letting the retirees RUN your union most of them retired 20 years. What do they know about issues in patrol now? NOTHING. The king is going down and once the facts are made public you can all apologize to the people you are calling crazy, angry and bitter. You are being manipulated. You are the police, go with the facts of the case not what the manipulator wants you to believe.

Funny thing is that he was only at meeting so he could imitate someone else who had balls and would actually say something at the mic. This is not true. I ran as an independent retiree for trustee. Nothing was hand carried by Kathy. I was there for the ballot count from 2-6. What you’re alleging never happened. John’s a toolbox but you’re concocting a fake story. John and most of his team are south siders so any of the LATE arriving ballots would have most likely been more for John and his crew anyway. Bartlett and his right hand clown/murray were awful candidates—that’s why I didn’t run with them when I was asked. I would never have run with John and I would up losing. I’m over it. So should you.
