Name Change Update
It is refreshing (to say the least) to see the States Attorney's Office doing the correct thing on behalf of taxpayers in general, and law enforcement in particular:
A woman’s effort to change her name after being found not guilty by reason of insanity of trying to kill a Chicago police officer has hit a roadblock. Court records show the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office filed an objection Wednesday to Whitley Temple’s name-change request, adding a new layer of drama to the unusual case.
Temple was acquitted last year of attempting to murder Officer Ed Poppish during a bizarre 2022 West Side incident in which she, half-naked, ran over him with his own squad car. Temple then fled in the vehicle, stopped briefly at a gas station, and continued onto the Eisenhower Expressway, reaching speeds of 97 mph before crashing into multiple vehicles, prosecutors said.
Now let's see what the judge does.
Labels: county, officer injured

About time the ASA does the right thing.
Layer of drama?
Really.
In what way? And for whom?
Just depends on how much cash changes hands.
DemoRatic judges..Dont hold your breath.
Deny the request.
It would behoove her to change other things first. A name change would likely be the least effective.

#1 answer on the board!
Judge Fambily controls the board, let's move on to the next question...
We have come to the point of being amazed and eternally grateful that somebody around here acts like a rational human being.
I get it, a lot of coppers have a hard-on for this lady.
Fact of the matter is, she was found not guilty in a court of law. The victim left his keys in a running car.
The case is over and she won.
You can’t just keep harassing her because you’re mad at her.
If she’s on other BS then charge her. If not, leave her alone.
Watch this now turn into a lawsuit and her get paid. Maybe then you’ll be happy.
Perhaps the drama of the obese ghetto hoodrat cop-hating bad comb over wig Judge Walton letting crackhead Whitley Temple off for attempted murder. Or maybe the drama from the same obese ghetto judge falsely claiming she was receiving threats over the case. All kinds of BS ghetto drama with that case.
Asata Shakur lover Judge will grant her wishes and help her get a job teaching in CPS, I put my left nut on it.
I say she should be allowed to change her name but forced to change it to Titney Whimple.
Just because the keys were left in an unattended vehicle while it was running doesn't mean it's ok to help yourself to it. It was careless of course but the offender did FAR worse!
