A sudden change in the start time for the FOP Board meeting next week:
- Catanzara has changed the meeting time of the FOP Hearing Committee to 9:45 AM on November 5th, without informing the general membership, and you are advised to attend the full Board Meeting at 9:45 AM for the hearing and the Board's vote on recommendations.

Was at Daley Center yesterday morning.

A few points as I’m in the know.
The board meeting was moved earlier because there is a lot to sift through… this has been done before and is not out of the ordinary.
Anyone can go to a board meeting, and sometimes people do. As of late, it’s been EJ and a few other hack jobs who’s sole mission is to destroy the lodge.
On a larger point, not enough people attend general meetings every month let alone board meetings.
Finally, as a blog, you paint a pretty fair picture most of the time when you call people out or state the obvious- esp with local politicians. But anonymous people shitting on the union, some of the board members, decisions they’ve made and the like is pretty weak.Come to the microphone at a general meeting and have your voice heard both to criticize and compliment.
Will someone give me a ride home Wednesday after I get launched? Ya see, I won’t have access to my FOP-provided vehicles effective about lunchtime-ish.

Dear Committee Members, We are paying attention. You heard the case, you know John didn’t defend himself, in fact he said he didn’t report the campaign funds as income because he didn’t want to pay taxes. He did use the company credit card for personal travel, purchases. His video said at the hearing he would produce receipts, which he didn’t. You have no choice but to find him guilty and expell him. Your jobs, and for that matter your freedom could be on the line. It’s time to do what is right and remove him from office. His voice got us attention and he pushed back on many unfair things but his misappropriation charge was valid in 2023 when a member filed it against him and it’s still valid now. We are all watching. If you don’t find him guilty, you are culpable, remember it’s now bigger than just these internal charges. Despite Cos saying it’s fake, it isn’t.
JC has been getting away with doing whatever he wants whenever he wants to since the beginning. Everyone was quiet until he rubbed them the wrong way.

So many retirees and they still claim to be on vacation or busy for 1 meeting a month... funny a quarter of them don't even live in Illinois any more. Still haven't seen the painting either.

John, when members bring the fact that you're stealing from them to light, they're not trying to destroy the Lodges, you're doing a good enough job of that on your own. I'm thankful for the members that stay on top of issues and keep the rest of us informed. That "hack job" was right. There is an issue and there isn't transparency. When members aren't allowed to look at financials, that's a huge red flag. What's there to hide? If the president is spending money like it grows on trees with no accountability, who is at fault? It seems like there's a lot of money being spent and wasted.

Danny Otoole had no money, no support from FOP and just barely lost to Martwick. The old FOP regime endorsed Martwick over Otoole, a decorated copper who was shot and stabbed in the line of duty. It’s all about the candidate, if Otoole had even 50k from FOP he would have won.
