Exactly scc, we have the MS-13 (MERIT SGTS) PLUS the 30 percenters.....WHICH should have had another group.from the List. Hope the FOP gets the court to clarify the language regarding the promotions. Remember everyone, this may only affect those on the current list under 400, but one day it may be you. If it affects one of us it affects us all. We need to stand together for the future people who will be getting screwed by the city. This current and future administration do not have your best interest at heart. They could give two shits if you lock up 1000 felons or zero. Be safe and remember to look out for each other. We are entering a dangerous times.

Campus, N is a complete softball. Her and her partner were useless and sad excuse for cops. It is sad to see a person like that lead our troops. We should be so lucky to get someone that could fill the shoes of GM. I know it's a foreign concept to a lot of the new officers to the watch of answering, going to and clearing a job in a timely manner. That is all GM expects nothing more. I guess you are mad because you ride a paper job for an hour and half, code it out than ask for lunch when asked about your status. I'm all for doing nothing for this department and city but the least you can do is handle your beat and not make other officers do your work.

On the topic of Sgts, I was working in 011 today and a guy is shot several times in the abdomen. Beat 1110 comes on the air and tells the zone, "lets make it a 0110 but, he is still pumping"! Ok SGT, you are making it a 0110 before a pronouncement time by a DR or the ME? FYI Sgt, only Doctor or Coroner/Medical Examiner or their designee can make such a determination.
Read the order oh great SGT.

Ok, have never been a big fan of "merit" promotions, but based on these two postings, we have to acknowledge the possibility that at least two people who scored well on a test, but have no street experience or ability to lead people, have made sergeant. Therefore, I have to ask, (and I know I'll get the hard-line "if you're not smart enough to pass the test, you shouldn't be a supervisor" crowd), but seriuosly, if a good boss (NOT any boss, but a good one) nominates a good copper who he/she believes will be a good, competant, fair sergeant, then I'd rather work for that person, than some desk-dolly who has never been on the streets and will probably make a decision that will either get me killed or in federal court! Good luck to all of the promotees! I'm too close to the end to care anymore, but I have changed my opinions. Shit happens as you get closer to the grave! Make sure we keep Hillary out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, otherwise you'll be required to have MS degree in Social Work to be a cop!

If you don't have any clout, you will be back in patrol, where your main job will be keeping track of the lazier officers to make sure they carry their weight and helping the new officers because this administration does not want new police officers learning anything from the older officers: you will be their de facto FTO. The working police don't need much supervision, except to keep them from being "too proactive." If your clout is somewhat good, you will probably get to work the desk, which you will be happy with because those citizens sure can be bothersome. If you have really good clout, with any luck you will be sent to a slow district to break in your new white shirts for awhile and you will be back to your old unit in no time doing the same anonymous work you did before, only now you will be paid more.
If you were a pooch as a p.o., please don't all of a sudden think you are the working police and start telling everyone what to do. Your reputation will get to your new district before you get there. If you studied your ass off to score high on the test, but were never in a busy district, don't be a show-off with your knowledge, the working police in a busy district already know what to do. Just answer questions when they come to you.
If you were the working police as a p.o., think about all those sergeants who motivated you and try to emulate them. There is no advice for you because you already have it in you. You will do just fine.

You have got to be kidding me. This officer constantly gave supervisors an attitude when they called her out on her idiotic behavior. Of course coming from 003, it is easy to stand out. Without the young officers there and some really good sergeants that place is a dump full of complaining dogs.

PM is far from hard working. She is your typical complainer who felt she was the working-police because she came in with a few drinkers or pisser arrests while in 003. I feel sorry for those she will supervise because she will now be more arrogant and obnoxious then she already is.

I am someone who knows NK and MR first hand and you are the fucking joke. I have supervised MR and NK they are both strong females. It is most unfortunate that women are constantly talked about on this job, even when they work. I remember when MR was stabbed saving a PO's life and again just recently fatally shot a gang banger while saving the life of a boss. I was there for that and there when the goof from 025 stalked her and the CR was by a LT who witnessed the incident. The goof even followed her to the district she is at now. As for NK she busts her butt and puts the guys in tact to shame. Their work speaks for them, good job girls. Don't let some rejected jerk or hating female bring u two beauties down.

To the ones that usually have domestics like MR, yeah those days are over to be taken care of. Clean your shit up or no matter where or what you do, you will be out of a job. No more domestics.
