Weekend Starts....Now!

It used to be that school started next week, so we'd have one last eruption of violence as everyone got their licks in before being minimally restricted by school hours and targets disappeared. Now, we're already into the second week of school.

In any event, we're still going to treat the holiday weekend as the last hurrah of summer and make a prediction that readers can use to entertain themselves via guessing and gambling.

So, from 1700 hours Friday (right now) until 0500 hours Tuesday - eighty-four hours total - we'll predict the following:

• cooler weather, chance of rain and a general decrease in violence this summer will result in a mere six deceased and twelve wounded;
• (use this as a tie-breaker) the over/under for mass shootings is one (the lib-tarded definition of a mass shooting as being four or more wounded in one incident);
