Recalling the reason

You know, we had almost forgotten why we started this blog. We wanted to rant and rave and help to advance the BushCheneyHalliburtonWarforOilNeocon Conspiracy. Rush Limbaugh has ordered us to relate the following:

Chuck Hagel (rino-Nebraska) is either an ass or is facing re-election in 2006. He certainly isn't a Republican. To bring up the specter of “Vietnam merely echoes the defeatist logic of the democratic party. We have freed 50 million people from two violent dictatorial regimes and set them on the road to democracy; pressure in Lebanon resulted in a Syrian withdrawal after 15 years of occupation; Egypt is set to hold elections for the first time since Sadat was assassinated; and if Iran wasn't killing students every weekend following soccer matches, the entire "mullahocracy" would collapse in a popular uprising never before imagined. To undercut Bush's policy in a bout of nervousness following B.S. poll numbers shows Hagel to be a political coward in the face of his Purple Hearts earned in Vietnam.

How do you rig poll numbers? Check the internals. The media runs with surveys that show something like 49% of the surveyed persons identify themselves as democrats and 35 % as republicans while the actual numbers of registered voters show that 39% of voters identify themselves as democrats while 36% as republican. Should the media ever conduct a legit poll with numbers that reflect the voting population, support for the war (while far from strong) would at least be rock steady.

Here's a story to warm the Republican hearts (if you have one) on the board. Big-time Republican and avid Bush (both of them) supporter Rev. Pat Robertson has called for the murder of Hugo Chavez, the President of Venuzula.

Thats right, we sure don't want to be defeatist. The nerve of some people. That senator should be thrown out of office..how dare he. And just out of curiousity, when are you or one of your kids going to sign up to help? Sounds like a lot more fighting and dying to be done. Since your in such agreement with all of it maybe you should want to help out.

maybe he/she did. maybe I did. maybe we recognize that you don't have to brag about it to justify your having an opinion.

Hey Lefty? Maybe you oughta look at the left demonizing Bush since 2000. Ever listen to air scamerica when randi rhodes plays a gunshot after she runs clips of george bush? That could be interpreted as a felony by the secret service. Or teddy kennedy claiming the war was run on behalf of texas oil interests with no proof whatsoever. That's slander. Or dozens of your people saying we deserved to get bombed on 9/11. At least the right condemns their windbags. You enbrace yours and make policy out of it.

Hey Bush "boy", first what makes you think I'm a lefty...I AM being critical of one of my own, the guy I voted for in 2000. I'm probably a little older than you though and my eyes have been open to some of the nonsense going on. I will give you credit for listening to the other side (Randi Rhodes)but c'mon, a gunshot is a bit of a stretch. I hardly think that Ms. Rhodes is much of a threat. And yes I believe that if your so committed to a cause you should be willing to sacrifice for it and not send someone else to do your fighting. It's not bragging. It's standing up for your cause. Those shouldering your burden truly need help. Tell me this nonsense is worth your arm or leg, or the life of your child and I will truly have respect for you and your position, regardless of how much I disagree with it. Myself, along with a majority of the American Public see this as a waste of damn fine troops and money that could be spent on....maybe you, and equipment and manpower and other public safety issues that are now lacking for what....money. Open your eyes. This isn't a liberal/lefty conspiracy. You and I probably agree with more that we disagree with.

To my pal BB:

The Randi Rhodes thing is wrong, I'll admit it. See that's the thing with leftists, we admit when when of our own makes a mistake. Unlike conservatives who want to make Bush II a saint. He has a more tainted history than some of the IR #'s I come across.

One of the few things sweetbabyray has written correctly concerning me is the fact that the President did not have pure intentions in the invasion of Iraq.

Yea, yea, I know the good 'ole USA does not import much oil from Iraq. The companies pumping it out, however are rich, fatcat Republicans (and some Dems too).

And what leftists said we deserved to get bombed. Another lie given out by pill-popping Rush, no doubt. BB you have to start listening to WIND (560AM), those goofs are more right wing than Rush.

Yea, everybody here pretty much agrees with each other. Except for that goofy leftisbest.

You go, sweetbabyray show that good for nothing commie a thing or two. He's probably "one of those" north siders, if ya catch my drift.

Ray, don't hold your breath on Saudi. To much money in the pockets of the rich and elite in this country, like the Bush family. So much for ridding the world of terrorists and evil regimes. If you haven't forgotten 9-11 than you should know that 17 of the 19 hi-jackers were Saudi...not an Iraqi among them. Let's leave Rush and Teddy out of this too. Both of them are idiots and nobody here has much respect for either. All I'm trying to say is let's fight the right enemy and not waste lives on this foolishness. If the Iraqi people were so dissatisfied with Sadaam they should have had the stones to do something about him. They obviously don't so I say the hell with them. Let's go after the true threats regardless of how much money they stuff in the pockets of the rich.

Sweetbaby, so many questions and so little space.

Yep, your president "allegedly" admitted to cocaine use in the past. What makes him different than the poor brother who was caught? Drug use is wrong be it Bush II, Teddy K., or BB (just kiddin' ya Bush Boy).

Ask the people of Iraq in two years was it better pre or post Saddam.

Kuwait, another battle in the interest of oil. First things we protected were the oil fields, forget the people, they can wait.

Yes, the UN found WMD in the 90's, but NONE, get it, NONE, this time around. And NONE have been found since. Another lie told by YOUR president to get us over there.

Yes, Teddy K. should have been arrested for a DUI, and Rush should be in prison too!

Sweetbaby, please don't lump all who worship Allah, like most rabid right wingers do, with the suicide bombers. The Koran does not call for such actions.

Finally, I see you have a friend (anonymous post at 1206 p.m.) Good for you. Now go drink that Bush flavored Kool Aid.

A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction.

Our military organization today bears little relation to that known by any of my predecessors in peacetime, or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.

Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together. - Military-Industrial Complex Speech, Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961

It is part of the moral tragedy with which we are dealing that words like "democracy," "freedom," "rights," "justice," which have so often inspired heroism and have led men to give their lives for things which make life worthwhile, can also become a trap, the means of destroying the very things men desire to uphold. - Sir Norman Angell (1874 - 1967), 1956.
=
"As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war. God grant that my suspicions may prove groundless." - U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Nov. 21, 1864 - (letter to Col. William F. Elkins) - Ref: The Lincoln Encyclopedia, Archer H. Shaw (Macmillan, 1950, NY)

They (corporations) cannot commit treason, nor be outlawed, nor excommunicated, for they have no souls: - Lord Edward Coke
=
criminal, n. A person with predatory instincts who has not sufficient capital to form a corporation: - Howard Scott

Sweet Baby Ray, you gang up on lefty when he is alone 10/99.

Help me with this:
28 March 2002, Bush declares war and said we would be victorious in 6 wks.

1 May 2002, President Bush say mission accomplished when on the air craft carrier, we lost 157 men,
no bithces. (bitch soldiers like bitch police dont count)You cant die on the desk or at headquarters.

3 May 2002, George says the occupation will last sixty to ninety days.

all reasons for war have been exposed as out right lies. No tie in to 911, no weapon of mass destruction.

Baby Ray today three years later nearly 1800 have died and 13,500 seriously wounded. Many having had limbs blown off and some blinded.

Donald Rumsfield says it may take 12 years, Ray your little guy will be ready in less time than that. Will your son fight for Georgie Boy.

Afghan puppet president Hamid Karzai, says US forces should remain forever.....

George is making the same mistakes of the Reich my friend.....

Sounds like Viet Nam my dear comrad.

But Sweet Baby Ray we are still better off than with Democrats...

Adolph has to go to watch the first halh hour of the history channel, when the Reich is winning the great war.....

The only mistake the Reich made were not killing more jews. They are still complaining about the 80 yr old white oaks out there. Also Bayer a US company was giving the Reich money for research. So who cares if the US wanted to rid the world of jewry, or whether this was is for oil. I want to pay 50 cents for a gal of gas. If Hitler was around today the sheetheads( actually a small sheet & not a towel) would be wasted too.
