Ira's to close Sunday

We're not sure if it's closing down Saturday night into Sunday or Sunday night into Monday. We're sure someone will let us know in the comments. In the mean time, go, quickly, have a drink with Bench and the crew before the final curtain comes down.

So, with Ira's closing, where can a copper drink in 012 now? And don't say Dugan's.

Than after that go home to your families you dam drunks. Thank god that dive is gone, now my property value will rise cause the rift rafe (drunk CPD) will be forced to drink somewhere else.

The institution known as Iras is closing sunday. As far as a dive, it was surely there before your cute litlle over-priced yuppie condo my friend. It is a shame because they plan on turning it into a yuppie club similar to Plush etc. As far as where to go, there is Union park or yes, Dugans or Emmits.

Church's Chicken Lot, S/E corner 35th and Michigan, have a swill with Fat Phil. You can buy a half/dog across the street. Nahh, Phil is too heavy to pick up when he's loaded.

Good place to stop for a beer and chill before going home. I Just couldn't stand the smoke. Heck, all you had to do was walk from the front door to the back and smell like you rolled in a ashtray. Yuck.

I did meet Edward Hermann (the actor and he does a ton of voice-overs on the History Channel) there one night. I asked him what he was doing in such a dive. He said he was out walking after doing a play it looked like and interesting place. Very down to earth guy.

Hope Bench made a mint!
