Burge Investigation Nearly Ready

And not a moment too soon, what with City Hall reeling under so many Federal investigations and guilty pleas and scandals and sealed indictments and ... well, you get the picture. From the Channel 7 website:
  • Special prosecutors Robert Egan and Robert Boyle say they are ready to release a final report. And they say they want to make public the names of all police officers subpoenaed in their investigation. The prosecutors' request to file a report with the Cook County Circuit Court next week suggests they will not seek criminal indictments in the case, which involves allegations dating from the 1970s to the early 1990s.
Name all those subpoenaed AND not seek criminal indictments? Get ready for a load of histrionics from the gallery. Just a thought, but how would Haithcock and Rush and "the Hat" Tillman react if Tom Allen proposed naming a street after Jon Burge? After all, Jon never killed anyone, he was trying to clean up the community, and he did have the best interests of the citizens at heart, didn't he?

Apparently the city has completed their full Neuterfication Program. Along with neuterfication the Blue Line was eradicated.

There are Police Officers then there are cops, if I have to tell you the difference you will NEVER BE A COP. Good line I would say. Open names all police officer's subpoenaed is plain B.S. The circus is back in town.

I worked in 009 when Burge was in the old A/3. He was a GREAT detective. My father worked with him in the 60's as a detective. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the man. These jack-offs who think he was dirty are the same ass-wipes who think Floyd Durr killed Ryan Harris. LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE!!!!

Even a shred of doubt on Burge? I've got a bridge in the Everglades to sell yas then.

More than 1000 independent and similar allegations for arrestees ranging from juvenille shoplifters to murderers. I believed in him until that evidence turned up. More than 1000 people don't make the same allegations over 10 years (with not one resulting in any action) over and over, all detailing the same type of torture by the same individuals, without some part of it being most likely true.

Which sucks, because the Wilson brothers deserved a lifetime of torture, as did some of the other murderers. But the allegations by juvenilles arrested for minor offenses are extremely difficult to justify.

Burge saved a lot of coppers lives by his actions not including numerous civilians and I'm not saying by illegal acts. I wonder who he really pissed off the numerous politicians that the Feds have documented with strong ties to the El Rukins,G.D.'S BLACK PANTHERS, The south side was a hell hole thanks to the politicians when Burge was out there.

How in the world would one even begin to justify this statement?

9:08, can you name even one of them besides the Wilson brothers? If not, how the fuck do you presume to make such a stupid, stupid, stupid statement about what they would or would not do?

It never ceases to amaze me how many idiots are on this job. Have you ever seen a white copper do anything wrong to a black guy? Ever?

Moron.

Jon Burge was the ultimate policeman~he got the job done and did it well. We need more guys like him and less of the spineless cry babies that now wear the badge.

In order:
Yes, hold Leroy Martin accountable as well as all others who covered these allegations up. There are many, including lawyers, politicians and numerous incompetent and corrupt exempts.

Yes, stand up to blacks. That is, black criminals. By processing them under the legal system. You tolerate the torture of black suspects ("offenders") here, and will you tolerate the torture of white suspects here or anywhere? Personally, I don't have a problem with torturing the Wilson brothers or other murderers. Its the dozens of children who made allegations that disturbs me most. You want kids in Mt. Greenwood getting tortured for underage drinking or shoplifting?

And the idea that it was all a conspiracy in the hood is laughable. 1000+ criminals all making nearly identical allegations, with similar descriptions etc. Organized conspiracies are almost impossible to maintain at even a level of 3 or 4 people. Y'all think people in the ghetto are better at this sorta thing than the mob or the Democrats?

Finally, Burge was no more a great cop than Hilliard or the othersw were great superintendents. When he realized he couldn't work within the rules, he decided the rules didn't apply. His actions (which some here deny, and others attempt to justify) were criminal. He became the very person he swore to fight.

And by denying or defending any of this, particularly on racial grounds, you are proving what the rest of the world already thinks about this once great, now dying, city.

Thomas Jefferson would be ashamed that any of you represent lawful government.

11:49, did I miss something, was Burge found guilty?
Torture? Was the public informed of broken limb's, bleeding tissue, disfigurement, or did a whole lot of hard core crimminal's get slapped around, and punched? Did someone die in his custody?
OR are there just a shit load of attorney's drooling for law suit's against this city? Isn't it true that the plantiff's attorney get's paid reguardless of a ruling?
Isn't it true that the Northwestern professor that helped in the "coerced confession's" cospiracy theory make millions in a book deal?
Didn't the media focus it's headlines on Burge when all of this was strangely orchrestrated at the same time?
Didn't Thomas Jefferson own slaves?

I'll do one better.
Not only would I want the mount greenwood kid tortured, I would want MY kid tortured for drinking or shoplifting. I can't do it, I would get fired and/or arrested.
The juvenile system here is a joke.
As long as the kid isn't disfigured during the "correction", more power to Burge.
Sometimes "time-out" needs to be "knock-out".
Yes, I know it's everything we are against (in theory), however, if you can tell me that you don't get satisfaction from seeing the parent of a juvenile offender slap the shit out of him/her upon release from custody, then maybe you should work for DCFS instead of CPD.

How much will the city pay out to these criminals who got "tortured"?
$50,000 per slap, $1,000,000 for "the box"?

Well then kick my ass and hook me up to a car battery.
It might be the only way I can afford to get a house in this city.

I'm NOT ashamed that any of you represent lawful government. As a matter of fact I'm actually proud of you. You do a very good job. BTW, am I supposed to feel sorry for a couple of gangbangers that were slapped around by Mr. Burge? Sorry but I do not have too much sympathy for them.

A 1,000 arrestees ALL tortured exclusively by Burge.
ALL detailed the same type of torture over ten years.
I hope Burge put in time due slips because he had to be there 24/7 AND give up his furlough and RDO.
IF no one challenged Flynt from the Peoples Law Office who make their money exclusively by suing the City and CPD, they would have portrayed Burge as torturing the six million Jews, Poles etc. prior to execution.
IF you want to join a "fishing expedition," register for the Ed Reines classic that FOP runs annually.
My theory is...... 'Stupid People' should keep quiet as a 'little' knowledge is [still] dangerous.

You could bring this case in front of any jury in this country and the city would come out owing hundreds of millions for what happened. Cook County, Simi Valley, whatever. There is enough liability there to bankrupt the city. There is enough culpability passed onto people like Daley that the government is doing EVERYTHING it can to prevent the case from being heard.

You think the massive delays are normal procedure? Its amazing that such gullible people can be coppers, but not amazing when I consider that Daley signs your paychecks.

And an easy internet search would show that various officers in Area 2 were variously named. But it always boiled down to the same 6 or 8 or 10.

Coincidence, right guys? I weep for the future of Chicago when you guys are the only ones who are left.
