Heroin Deaths Climbing
Maybe it's not (as we supposed) a concerted effort to kill junkies. Maybe it's just a new mix coming out on the street and this is like a shakeout cruise? Bad measures? Poor formulas? We know they cut the junk with just about everything under the sun and there are hints that someone somewhere is manufacturing fentanyl in some sort of clan lab. But we are on a hard to maintain pace of killing junkies on the South and West sides (and the occasional suburban user found afterwards).

Legally these deaths should be considered HOMICIDES. It's only an overdose when the user is unaware of the strength of the drugs and administers a lethal dose. When the heroine contains a "cut" or "mix" that causes sickness and death it is a HOMICIDE.

Watch how they "KILL" these homicide deaths to keep the homicide rate down.
But under Federal Crime Reporting and National Standards for Causes of Death, these are HOMICIDES.
The exempt ranks are scrambling and also praying the media doesn't question them as to why these deaths aren't counted as homicides.

#1. I'm pretty sure that 100% of the time that users are UNAWARE of what they are putting in their body when buying drugs from Joe Drug Dealer.

Camden, NJ and Philadelphia (right across the Delaware River from Camden) are having the same fatal fentanyl problems. It has yet to reach epidemic or pandemic status.
Note that widespread stomping of heroin with fentanyl is not the same as delivering a solo "hot shot" to a specific addict.
Dependent on other circumstances, both could be successfully prosecuted as criminal homicide.

One thing I remember, there was a report very early in the investigation about the wife of a suburban judge who found a bottle of tainted Tylenol in her medicine chest. Seems she was going through a very nasty divorce from her husband. Anyone else out there remeber this detail or care to add some info?
