But Ben Kingsley and Lauren Bacall? What is this, The Muppet Show? What's with the cameos? Granted, it sets up an interesting possibility of Hollywood being infiltrated by Organized Crime ... oh wait, that's already reality. Lauren Bacall getting popped was funny. But Artie falling apart and finding redemption in a dead rabbit?
Look like next week might be a bad one for Vito.

Jury: City retaliated against complaining officers

A federal jury on Monday awarded $325,000 to three Chicago police officers who said police officials retaliated against them for reporting reverse discrimination.
The three officers—Lt. Nancy Lipman, Lt. Diane O'Sullivan and Lt. Janice Roche—filed suit in 2001, alleging that a police commander, who is African-American, denied them promotions and other opportunities because they are white...
Re: Daley Aide resigns, that guy used to be the department's lawyer or some such title. He's this >< close to Daley's crew, or so I heard.
He's also the mutt who 10 or so years ago went on the record saying that Chicago had as many homicides as it did then (relative to other cities seeing drastic reductions) because the public would not tolerate a more efficient and aggressive police department. Yup, that's right. One of Daley's chief idiots basically said the city had 700 or so homicides because the public did not want any fewer.

An interesting note on the settlement. The three named females were all sergeants at the time of the dicriminatory acts. They get merit promotions to Lt.,as a bone.....and still follow through on the law suit! Where have I gone wrong?
Incorrecto........they were lieutenants at the time of the bullshit, and none of them were "merit" promotees.
