We've been dead set against naming a street for someone who advocated the killing of police officers. These pictures were e-mailed to us show just how depraved the entire black panther organization was AND how dedicated to the killing of coppers Bobby Rush and his ilk truly were. The pictures aren't the greatest quality - they're from the Tribune archives and almost 40 years old. But you can get the idea. First up, a wall covered with articles about the killing of police officers. Kind of a trophy type wall - a bragging board:
Next, a collection of rifles and ammunition stored at the address at which Fred Hampton met his demise. We are aware of the accusations made by various conspiracy types that the photo was staged and it may have been the ammo and rifles were gathered in one place to make for a better photo. But we don't subscribe to the moonbat theories that the State's Attorney and his men ran around with a load of rifles and ammo just to plant it somewhere:

Hmm. Wonder who was responsible for the interior decorating? The shrine to the CPD?
The article states one of the guns (demonstrated by arrow) was stolen from a cop car.

Rush is a piece of shit and I'm ashamed he is a member of Congress. I'm ashamed more for those who vote him into office.
I agree with the above posts in the respect that we should NEVER refer to the BPP or Rush without mentioning the memories of John Gilhooly or Frank Rappaport.

if any members of the exempt staff were to sign the petition, they would be quickly identified, exposed then suddenly resign,retire, or dumped shortly thereafter. since PC is getting set to retire anyway, he should really come out against the sign.

Why exactly do we need a boss to jepardize his job to comment? You guy's wouldn't and neither would I. I was in vietnam when Hampton was killed and most of you were never born. put the sign up and I'm sure some CRAZY copper will take it down. The bottom line is they will NEVER legally put it up. (i think) Times are changing I need advanced schooling to solve this. Life was much easier when you needed a high school diploma!

I think we are really missing the point on this whole street nameing topic. The real issue for me at least is WHY?

I know this is off topic BUT I heard a rumor from a credible source. The Dept. is going to indict a team, unk if it's gang ,tact, narcotics etc... but my source says that it's a team getting indicted by ASA's (STATE CHARGES for all you new DET"S out there) not the FED'S cause there was not enought for the G to get involved.

Get the city to scrap it off. Contact streets and sans for starts, then start calling everyone you can think of. It has obstructed the sign and it's illegal. Make a report even if it's an info. rep. Have a notification placed in the beat books. What ever it takes if ya catch a slimeball lock um up. Enjoy

Were is Cline? much less, anyone else on this matter? Why isn't the department or the memorial ou there sticking up for these families who lost these cops?
