1. Jews are definitely a major historical funding source for the Democratic party over the last 40 years, and Democrats need to secure that source in the primaries.

A few months ago the Sun Times ran an article about how city employees including lieutenants and captains had been screwed over by having 40% federal taxes taken out of their retro checks.. CITY FINANCE blamed it on the IRS for telling them the WRONG METHOD of calculating the taxes.. the city stated that it was a mistake and should not have happened.
THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO… The sergeant’s retro checks should be coming out Monday or Tuesday and our PBPA leader states that it will be taxed at 40% AGAIN!!
Can anyone find that Sun Times archived article so we can stick it up the city’s ass? The Fuc%ing BASTARDS!!!!!

Regarding sergeant's backpay, years ago the city started taxing any income other than the 1st and 16th at a rate of 28% for federal withholding. The state gets 3%, 9½% for pension, and anyone hired after June 1986 pays medicare for another 1½%.
That's why we'll be taking a big hit on the backpay. Our now ex-union president sent an e-mail advising us that if we make $11,000 in back pay, we'll get about $6800. That comes out to about a 39% hit. 9½% for pension, 1½% for medicare and 3% for state taxes equals 14%. So you figure the city will probably hit us with a 25% withholding for federal taxes. THAT figure is the bullshit one. And yeah, I know we get it back next year when we file our taxes, but there is no interest.
So the question is, WHY the big hit? And this IS real.

However, she had within the past few years worked a large undercover job in which a large and complex cover had been set up for her, involving many other agents and informants. Once it was found out that situation had been an undercover operation, it put at risk all those in the field still working, as well as those who'd passed information to her under that cover. We'll probably never know (the CIA may, but you and I won't), whether some poor sot (or two, or five, or ten) gets beheaded in some foreign country because Plame was outed.
Oh, plus after all the training and experience, she'll never be able to work as an operative again. I imagine that would have been Rove's revenge - the rest would have been negligible.

after the Justice Department, then overseen by Attorney General John Ashcroft, concluded that an investigation was warranted. The predicate of that conclusion by two top officers of the Bush Cabinet was that
a covert agent had in fact been exposed.
There is no way that Ashcroft would recuse himself from the investigation, if the issue at hand could not stand on it's feet.
Furthermore, there is no way the Fed alone or some one like Fitgerald would go this far if it could have been dismissed by the likes of you that easily.
