Here we go, guess what Homeland Security won't respond to? 51 + suspected terrorist came through Texas borders last yr. Homeland won't return phone calls to channel 5, their going to continue to try and get them to respond. A few examples of countries involved, Iraq, Syria, Tehran. This does not include bomb materials 2-IED and 33-components, etc., found inside our borders. Fact: Our goverment has no idea how many terrorist are already in the country and Homeland has kept info hidden.
Let's not forget the MS-13 gang members that do just about anything for money and are also coming through. We know that MS-13 gang members are in California. Alot of the current march action is being directed from LA.

I keep hearing about this young Cap. Lemmer in 023..How is he the commander? Is it true that the real commander is just a figure head and Lemmer is realy in charge?
It's said that tac/gangs is 9-10 P.O.'s short and that Lemmer scares P.O.'s from wanting the spots. Lemmer must be very powerful or the commander would tell him to leave tac/gangs alone!
anyone know the details of what happened in the 20th district, i heard a p.o. threatened to shoot someone who locked himself in his car and refused to leave a gas station that was giving away free gas. i heard it was a big radio promotion and they were making fun of him on the radio.

WASHINGTON D.C. NATIONAL MEMORIAL UPDATE
Chicago was again well represented this year in Washington D.C. considering we fortunately did not lose a member in 2005.
We had approximately 150 members in attendance at the Twenty-Fifth Annual Peace Officers' Memorial Service at the foot of the Capitol on May 15th, with the President of the United States as the keynote speaker.
It is even more impressive when one notes that almost everyone there is participating on their own time and funds.
Our CPD Honor Guard once again did us proud at the Capitol Building and at the Honor Guard Competition. They again experienced the privilege of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.
The Superintendent was observed in attendance at the various ceremonies and while the First Deputy was seen at the Police Memorial prior to the Candlelight Vigil, it does not appear he remained until the end and his absence at the Capitol was likewise duly noted.
There were no embarrassing war stories out of the attendees this year that we heard of which is a tribute to those that attended and their reason for being there. Thanks to all that attended this year.
Please consider attending these ceremonies in Washington D.C. at least once during your career. You will be impressed by what you experience there. It takes place every May 13, 14 and 15 annually, regardless of the day(s) of the week.
Why not seriously consider "2007" when Chicago will again continue their commitment to the family of P.O. Eric Solorio, to....."Never Let Them Walk Alone."

My thoughts to Mary Mitchell in regards to her latest column. Sent to her email, holding my breathe for a reply.

I regularly read your column and do not always agree with your opinion in regards to some topics. I usually use your column to increase my blood pressure in the morning. Your column of 18 May 2006 actually prompted me to respond by sending you this email.
I actually believe that you are the racist in this case. Yes even an African American can be racist. It took you over a week to write about this case but yet you quickly compare it to the other media case(Duke). When DNA can not conclusively prove that the suspects committed a crime then they should not be charged. You would be outraged if three African Americans were in custody and DNA could not prove they were the offenders.
Where is your outrage about the African American tenants who forced this girl away from their apartments after telling her that Black Folks don't mix with your kind. They were so proud of this that they actually repeated it on national news. I could only imagine your sense of outrage had a white person done this to a African American.
You would have spent weeks crucifying that person in the press. A good example would be how you reacted to the whole Rev. Meeks "profiling case". I noticed that you never retracted any of your comments after the Rev Meeks story fell apart. His own bodyguards and driver refused to lie under oath and back his story. His driver was found guilty in court as he actually had no insurance and no drivers license.
If your going to report please do so, but tell the unbiased truth. I am really tired of the whole "poor pitiful me approach". You actually do minorities a disservice by claiming everything to be racist. Crying wolf only works so many times before people no longer believe it. When you have millionaires (Diane Burns& Hubby) claiming discrimination because she was dissatisfied with a remodeling job it has gotten out of hand. When someone has truly been discriminated against in there future, who will believe it? I can tell you that I might not because it has been overused as an excuse.
can we please get together and begin our own health insurance fund? they charge us more every raise/ promotion and the coverage isn't great. a friend was a union laborer and had the vision surgery paid for 100% after being on the job for 6 lousey mos. our goal should be retirees pay nothing. all active police and retirees would make quite a fund and i'm sure a lot of companies would love our business and give us our proper treatment. this has been done in other cities. as a retiree i would rather spend deferred comp on me not health insurance first time blogger

Why are there any gang or tac teams? What exactly do they do?
It would be a lot more impressive if more than 15% of the CPD attendees stayed until the end of the capitol ceremony. Over the last several years a tradition has evolved where CPD officers line up along the walkway facing the capitol as the fallen officers families exit. The LAPD lines up across from us and we form an honor guard of sorts. We then salute the families of our fallen as they leave. People always thank us for being there. Unfortunately LAPD outnumbers us 3 to 1. It would be nice if all of us could stick around to the end and salute our fallen instead of leaving after the President's remarks.
Hats of to2:15:33'Did you notice her open ended question of how many people agred tha t the two different cases were treate d differently?. Both ladies put themselves in a position to be abused ? Only one ended up abused like so much garbage ,then thrown away. Any comments?

Fellow 014 Officers of Third Watch!!!!Dearest Captain Drasutis (or however its spelled) Do you lay awake at night wondering, plotting & fantasizing about your next victim? How you will call a P.O. (who acted against your liking) into your office, slam the door so the entire district feels the vibrations, your face slowly turning the color of blood. And then, as if this P.O. were your 16 yr old son who stole the family car, scream and yell at them for whatever stupid trite thing they did. Wake up Captain, your management style is not working. Hello. 014 has the lowest productivity in years. Wonder why? Maybee if you stopped putting officers on your 'shit list' and remembered what it was like to work the streets instead of sitting inside for 8, you might get some work from the third watch. It's bad enough we have to deal with joe citizen; we shouldn't have to come to rollcall and hear your negative attitude everyday, coupled with your condescending ways and demeaning lectures about how "noone owns a beat car" blah blah. But then again that makes too much sense, to treat your officers right = happy p.o.'s = productivity. As one of the cops that you so glibly refered to I take umbrage at your charactarizations of the people in 020. If you are so unhappy there, why don't you leave like I did? Take a deep breath and listen for a while....
The police officer you referred to on Midnights does do searches for anyone who asks her and does not complain about it. It is easy to sit behind your computer and anonymously malign a fellow cop. If you have a problem, address it directly.
You made some rather snide comments about people on the third watch....do you even know these people? Did you hear rumor and innuendo and accept it as fact? You are an idiot.
You are allowed to think anything that you want but when it crosses the line into slander you need to reconsider.
As for all your self-important postings, why not find something else to do with your free time rather than to tear down your co-workers?
