Four shot, one dead. And it appears that once again, a rifle of some sort (7.62mm) was used. We wrote about a spate of shootings about a month ago in which a number of fatalities were attributed to an AK-47 type rifle in the North Lawndale area. Be careful out there boys and girls.

To NJ guy/gal who wants to join CPD: first, don't. Try some good burbs first. You have to live within city limits if you want to join the CPD.
If you go to the loop/downtown area and have kids just remember there is no decent public school...so have to go private. The closer you get downtown the more $$. Stay northwest if you can, bigger bucks there, too. Parts of Rodgers Park are ok, Sauganash and Edgebrook, bring lots of $$ for your downpayment. Bucktown and Wicker Park can be a bit edgy, but all pretty much yuppied. If you want to cheap out go South and try Beverly or Mt. Greenwood. Forget Canaryville unless you're a hillbilly from Joisy. Our "Harlem" areas are most of the westside, although yuppy pioneers are slowing moving in and there are various parts of the southside you must avoid. Stay clear of Humboldt Park too unless you like gang bangers and refried beans.
