The better team won the super bowl, pure and simple, the team with the top rate quarterback. I knew Lovie was going to follow Rex over the cliff but I suspected it would have been the 1st playoff game. I guess only in the NFC could a team like the bears get to the Super Bowl.
Rexie had four turnovers of which 3 went to the Colts. Honestly, I remember going like an hour without even seeing a Bear first down. Then those intereceptions???
One thing Ive noticed about Rexie, he wont run with the ball. Really, he is afraid of being hit lets face it. Any pressure and he wings a throw, the guy is a pussy!
And the Colts did everything they could to let the horseshit Bears win. Turnovers, Missed kicks, stupid penalties...ect
Rex, and the Bears, embarrassed themselves on the World stage. But hey, I won money. I gave the points away to anyone who would take them. Ive been saying the Bears, and Rex, suck all year long.
Everything about the SuperBowl sucked.
The pre-game show with Circe de Soile and all the brightly colored banners and gayass acrobats sucked. Honestly, this is the SUPERBOWL, not the HOMOBOWL.
The halftime show sucked. prince? Has he even put out an album in the past ten years? I know you need a black performer to keep the blacks happy, but not too ghetto black to keep the white happy. But Prince?
And lastly, the performance of the Bears. You guys played like a special ed team.
I hope Rex goes into a bar in Chicago when he gets back and gets his ass kicked.
Too bad we can't pick up Favre.

I JUST got WORD from DOWNTOWN that starting *** March 1st *** all chicago police officers have to swipe in at the start of duty and swipe OUT after every shift and for the first 3 months there will be an Inspector or IAD employee assigned to each district for each roll call to ensure that it is done properly.

That damned Grossman has done it again! He sucks. Will the Bears EVER get a great quarterback? We had the game won. Run the ball! All he had to do was not fumble and not throw interceptions! The defense got tired during the third quarter. They have been bailing his ass out all year long!

In my district any sucker stupid enough to bet the Bears, I took their money perioid. An experienced football team, with a future hall of fame quarterback vs an inexperienced team with a stumblebum 3rd string quarterback. No chance, would have love to see the Bears win, but when money became involved I let the head on my shoulders take over. Hey, if the Mayor was in Miami, do you think he noticed the preparations that were being made by a real Police Department? I saw them on TV as they rappelled down into the stadium from a helicopter as well as other things. Do you think the CPD would be preparing like that? Any chance he would come back here and tell Phil that we need to concentrate more on Police work and prepartion for the next big attack? I doubt it. Those black copters and carbines might scare somebody. We would be promoting the CAPS program and the OEMC instead. It's kind of embarrassing to watch a real Police Department like the one down in Miami prepare for an event like the Super Bowl and even worse to think of how we would prepare for it.

Listening to all the comments in the media regarding "XLI" no one addressed the issue of a 'controllable' factor of the game.
For the life of me I don't understand why the 'SUPERBOWL' is not played in a domed stadium!
Yes, I understand the argument that it affects both teams the same but that's not the point.
Aside from the super-rich that sit on the 50 yard line [most of them were in the skyboxes any way] what about the average 'Joe' that scrimped and saved and took his son or daughter to witness this 'historical' [or is that 'hysterical'] event?
Since the NFL relegates the SuperBowl to specific stadiums based upon climate and capacity, why not include the dome requirement as well?
This is the 'mutha' of all football games, so why not play it in near-perfect conditions and concentrate on FOOTBALL and not the weather.
Again, I'm not all that concerned by the high-priced players' well-being, but just a common-sense approach to this season ending finale.
Also, being a realist, I understand that the Bears were the ones responsible for the final outcome of this game and rain or shine, it was their game to win or lose.
But it's not too much to ask that future Bowl games be played in ideal conditions for 'all' involved.

Well what did you guys expect? Out of 32 NFL QBs Rexie is 24th in 2006 with a 73.9 QB rating. To put it in perspective Manning is #1 with a 101 rating.
Name one top tier QB the Bears ever had? They never even had one, not in the modern game they havnt. And now were going to be stuck with Rexie for another 8 years, hell hes only 26yo.
Its really amazing they made it this far with the shit football they played this year. Then again they had the easiest schedule in the NFL while playing in the weakest division in the NFL. Then they played the Seahawks and Saints in the playoff, two teams that wouldnt have even made the post season if they were in the AFC.

The game left a sickening feeling in my gut, a little bit of that might have been from the 30 wings I ate, but most was from the outcome of the game.

Everyone knows the game sucked because the Bears lost due to their horrible game play, but did anyone notice how bad the coverage was? They couldn't keep that fucking camera lense clean of rain. The picture was foggy most of the time and the sound quality was shitty at best. Fuck channel 2.
