Cheney Safe - Bird Dead
An apparent suicide attack on the Vice President's airplane was thwarted when the right engine killed the attacking fowl.
- Air Force Two carrying Vice President Dick Cheney struck a bird as the plane neared O'Hare International Airport on Friday. The aircraft landed safely.
Mechanics checked the plane while Cheney spoke at the Heritage Foundation's annual leadership conference, but the incident did not delay his departure from the airport to return to Washington.
''A bird hit the right engine of the plane upon landing,'' said Megan McGinn, a spokeswoman for Cheney. ''He was told after he delivered his remarks.''
We don't know why the media doesn't make a bigger deal of this attack. Probably because the bird was a democrat.

SCC, while I appreciate your refreshing conservative take on the many issues of the day, your cheerleading for the Bush/Cheney Administration grows tiresome. They are not true conservatives. I never liked the Bushes. While Bush 43 may be an improvement over his father, Bush 41 renounced his NRA membership, an unforgivable sin in my eyes. At least Junior signed the LEOSA, but for chrissakes every time he opens his mouth he sounds about as articulate as our Mayor.
This administration should be commended for some things such as going after the terrorists, and appointing decent judges. But they had every opportunity to fix illegal immigration and failed to do so. Why? Obviously because they did not want to. Ignoring the conservative base which elected them, on the illegal immigration issue, is inexcusable and unacceptable. "Guest Worker Program" is the same thing as amnesty, what a crock of shit! Cheney is a corrupt thug who is no better than our very own mayor, and apparently doesn't observe basic firearms safety while hunting.
These clowns have cost the Republicans the Congress and probably the White House for 2008.

Car 46 was great about telling everyone what to do and when and the air was filled with bunch of stupid assholes asking questions over and over. Jesus. Was it a bunch of PPO's on the tact teams or what? Also a few people missing from their posts. Who were they and what district are they getting launched to? LOL

Really boss??? I was there and it went fine, even when Dick Richie wanted to stop at American Girl and buy clothes it was fine. The airwaves were fine. The missing copper was not missing he was not visible to the motorcade. Get a life dick breathe

It was very well organized....the American girl store and the return back to the hotel was not in the original order....all spur of the moment...everyone did a great job...sometimes you have to deal with a bad card your dealt..don't cry about it...

Look at Rudy's voting record. He is one of the most liberal Republicans around. A better choice would be Mitt Romney or Tom Tancredo but I guess you would have to be somewhat educated to realize this.
