He was kind enough to write about and link to a couple of pieces we wrote. Chicago lost a real citizen of the world when Kim left town for Texas. His essays on the mayor are a joy to read.

Food for thought...
To prove the city really doesn't have a clue about what is going on in any aspect of the LT's make up exam...consider that the Cubs are playing the SOX on the Southside that same day (Sat 6/23). And after both teams catchers were fighting last year and no control over beer sales at the Cell and with the drunks from both sides of town out of their minds, don't you think that an adequate amount of SGT's should be in attendance at the game to monitor overzealous young coppers in case there is trouble. Does the city really have a handle on what is going on or are the winging everything and hoping for the best???
And if there are enough Sgt's at the game, what about for the rest of the city in the Districts?? Couldn't the city have chosen the week before or after the game???
And I'm sure all of the 2nd/3rd watch sgt's in the city will take the make up exam if for nothing else but to get out of work for the day. And all of the Specialized Units (that is an oxymoron) Sgt's will probably be off anyway. Who will be in charge. Sgt's with less than 2 yrs and couldn't take the test?? Give me a break. Wake up citizens, the criminals are running the city.
A second thought....if CEO's are accountable for producing a good product/service, why isnt Arne Duncan accountable for good test scores. Why is the answer to that question is that they always need more money?

Word out of 35th Street is that Phil Cline is done tommorrow, on Friday June 1st.
It appears there was an argument over Phil not being allowed to make command changes and move people around.
Hiram Grau will be the interim Supe in charge (proves that Dana was in WAY over his head) until the new Supe can be found.
Finally, Phil was not going to make sure his son gets promoted - not this soon anyway. That is a favor that will come later. If you want to know if the fix is on look to see if a "Murphy" gets promoted.

I would like to thank the 22nd Dist Day Crew, Wagon and a couple of Cars Including Tact, along with CFD for their quick response to the Traffic accident at 110th/Drake around 2 pm this afternoon. A Drunk ILLEGAL alien with fake IDs hit one car, attempted to flee, struck a Pregnant woman and her 2 kids who were in a mini-van at 110th/Drake then ran up on the lawn striking a fellow city workers vehicle that was parked in his driveway. The ILLEGAL alien was held by off duty CPD and CFD and was DUIed. The ILLEGAL aliens Lincoln Navigator was impounded. If this would have happened 20 mins later he would have taken out a group of kids coming home from school. Thank you for the quick response CFD and CPD. And yes I know for a FACT he was illegal.

Murphy used to sell t shirts at narcotics i'm sure with his marketing experience and other work related scams the clothing line wouldgo over well. I would luv the official SCC baseball shirt to wear over my uniform at court, and at union meetings. I would be proud to wear the hat and baseall shirt at check off.

Anyone know whatever became of the Arenda Troutman suspected drug case? I may have been sleeping and missed whether or not the white powder found in her office tested positive. Was this swept under the table? Can the arresting officer inform the masses as to the results of the lab test...
