Aldercreature Bites the Dust
- Former Ald. Arenda Troutman (20th) was indicted Wednesday on one bribery count.
Troutman is accused of accepting a $5,000 cash bribe and another $5,000 check to a fund benefitting her in exchange for greasing a development while she was in office.
Troutman was recorded by an informant working for the government. Troutman has denied wrongdoing.
Once again, the rate of aldercreatures indicted (and hopefully convicted) far outstrips the Police Department.

Couldn't happen to a better person!!! Maybe the citizens who worked hard to purchase their home can now get relief from the gangbangin that goes on on their blocks. The ward workers might not be tippin off the bangers to police matters.

It's still a weak case, only 1 count on the indictment. I would like to see her in prison too, but I'm sure she will use PMS as a defense and her lawyer will reason that she has "suffered enough" by losing her council seat. Thus, an aquittal or probation.
Unlike coppers, who get hit with "the book." Example: the Jefferson Park tap officer (sgt) getting hit with nearly a dozen counts. Because the ASA's know any first year law clerk can get at least one count to stick when there are that many.
If it were ganbangers or a Daley in a barfight it would be "paper only" or maybe a misdemeanor!

Speaking of a Daley in a fight ...Whatever happened to his kid several years ago at thier summerhome? When he should have been charged with agg.bat{no pun intended}How did that one get spun? Daley:Mykid didnt try to hurt the other kid they had a pinyata up and the other kid walked into the bat...like 8 times.Is this the same kid that went into the service like 2 years ago? GREAT like he isnt being groomed to take over daddys town....what a scary thought that is!!!!

As a former member of the All-American Division: the 82nd Airborne out of Ft. Bragg, it's a disgrace to know that Daley's kid is now a member who will NEVER serve in combat.
The 82nd Airborne is proud of the fact that we are always the first to go when America needs boots on the ground. Sheltering Daley's kid in the 82nd is shameful. Put that spoiled pussy over in Anbar and the Sunni Triangle or rip off the AA patch and the beret.
