Body Located

  • A Chicago woman's body has been found, after it was lost by the Cook County Medical Examiners office.

There were more than 210 bodies at the Cook County Medical Examiner's office Tuesday, more than capacity. Officials checked and double-checked each body and found out it was there the entire time.
Seems they've been double stacking the bodies at the morgue while shorthanding the staff. That's the great thing about working with the dead - fewer complaints from the people who end up sharing tray space with another stiff.

One of the problems with the bodies at the med examiners office is that they store alot of bodies there due to the body being evidence. They really should have a seperate cooler for "evidence" bodies.

Who remembers that big goon, "Freeman", who used to check in the bodies. He always searched them for whatever was still on them. one time, we had to have him sign, and found him in the locker room giving one of his buddies money to run for beers. He had a big wad of cash. Those bills were every colr of the rauinbow except green. YUK!

It's not too hard to misplace a body when you're dealing with this many - over 200. It's like boxes of parts in a warehouse; occasionally one gets misplaced. I'm surprised this became a news story though, before they did an inventory to fix their mistake.

NO, HE WAS A CIVILIAN COUNTY EMPLOYEE WHO CHECKED IN ALL THE BODIES. IF YOU BROUGHT ONE THERE, LATE 80'S TO EARLY 90'S, YOU REMEMBER HIM. BIG BLACK DUDE WITH A MESSED UP EYE LOOKING THE OTHER WAY. BORN FOR THE JOB.
