Mette on CNN
Evidently, CNN finally ran the piece on the Mette case. We have to confess to not seeing it because of the late notification. It's possible CNN will be running it again, but we have no idea when. That's the trouble with updating once a day - no chance to do real time updates and let people know in advance of an important event like this. Still, it's what we've got right now.
Anyone who saw it, post here.

Mike was on CNN tonight on the Anderson Cooper show and did a great interview.............
The repeat was on late tonight. They didn't get into details about the case, but did do a brief overview.
On that same show, they did an extensive attack on Chicago Police and how many CR #'s we get and are dismissed. Horrible.
Thats why...you goofs still dont get it. let the streets turn to caca . let them beg for police action. Let them do reverse seniority for tac... they just about are.
Why do you fools still go out there to only get thrown to the wolves by this city still amazes me. Dont do anything but answer your calls.

You have to expect the liberal cnn to also attack us! we have to be so careful what we do and say! Any elected idiots speaking out for MIKE?
I wasn't impressed by how they portrayed Mike, I am certain they knew more of the story and those parts ended up edited out. They didn't say anything about the small town politics, or how the "highly injured" man was out playing golf within a few weeks.
The hatchet job about the CR numbers was more of Jon Loewy's (aka Kenny G) bullshit and how he feels we are allowed to run roughshod.
Will Jon call one of his gangbanger clients when he gets his ass whipped, car stolen or his office broken into?

I don't think the CNN story was helpful to Mette. I read the info here and read the documents that were linked to. I was definately on his side. But CNN presented a different view point -- medical evidence showing it was more than one punch and more like a beating. Now I'm being to wonder.
Still think he's gettting screwed on the felony but also questioning whether the story we heard here was correct.
Before you all attack me for saying that, just keep in mind that the purpose of my comment is to say that I don't think the CNN piece helped him. Let's debate that.
You have to realize it is a CNN television audience. They are not us or share our viewpoint. They probably care more about Denise Richards than ex-COp Mike Mette.
I wouldn't expecty much help from national TV.
For those of you who are not sure if Mike got screwed, please read Judge Ackley's ruling. There is a link on mikemettedefensefund.com to Judge Ackley's findings.
The ruling states that Mike only hit Jake once and that Mike was not the original aggressor.
