An attorney for former police sergeant Drew Peterson says Peterson received an unsigned letter yesterday giving a detailed description of a sighting of his missing wife, Stacy Peterson.
Attorney Joel Brodsky says Peterson opened the letter today and immediately called the Illinois State Police and his attorneys to notify them of the development.
We'd like nothing better than for Mrs. Peterson to be alive and return to her children. But in our humble opinions (and we are entitled to opinions, no matter how nutty), this is just way too pat. Our bullshit detector pegged at maximum weeks ago with this guy. We don't see any reason to change it now.

What the news didn't report was this letter claiming the sighting of Stacey, also stated that Stacey was with Elvis Presley. And both Stacey and Elvis were in Florida because they are in the witness protection program and the Feds were hiding both of them together until they have a chance to have them testify in front of a secret grand jury in Milwaukee.

Interesting case! IF,and I emphasize "IF" in fact, Drew Peterson actually is responsible for the death(s)/disappearance of #3 and/or #4, we are dealing with a shrewd, narcissistic psychopath who, as they say in the ghetto, "can really hold his mud."
Under world-wide media scrutiny, he will not admit anything. As far as #3 (Savio) goes, assume that after exhumation, her death was incontrovertibly ruled a homicide. How will you ever link Peterson to her death beyond mere suspicion.
While successful prosecution has occurred in the absence of a recovered body (Stacy), it is extremely rare and almost impossible as the case stands per the media reports.
However, if Stacy's body does turn up and/or an arrogant Drew Peterson becomes too confident and slips up, a successful prosecution could conceivably occur.
As one earlier poster said, I'd feel much more confident walking into the interrogation room with John Wayne Gacy than this Peterson guy.

Stacy is probably in a smoking crystal meth in a house in some rural area in central illinois. When the meth runs out she'll turn up.

Even if Stacy ran off, which I doubt, DCFS should come in and rescue their children from a life of living hell.
He said he received a letter from his wife and then opened it the next day. WTF! Why would you wait a day to open it. If he was still in love with his wife, he should have torn through that letter to find his wife. If he can't stand her, and least prove you did not bury her somewhere.

If there is any truth to the blue 55 gallon drum and access to an airplane stories, Peterson could be home free on Stacy's "disappearance".

Fly over water, jettison the drum with Stacy and without witness(es). If the drum is not securely sealed and/or weighted down, Stacy's remains might float to shore come next spring.
Unless a possible accomplice rolls over on him, Peterson can tell authorities to "charge me or go fuck yourself."
As it stands, all they can do is nitpick him with bullshit misdemeanors and unsuccessfully attempt to void his pension.
The woodchipper theory does not hold water, no pun intended. However, like Jeffrey Dahmer, using a bath of muriatic acid would eventually dissolve even her sketetal remains into slush. We can't rule out cremation either.
Undetected body disposal could prove critical to Drew Peterson's continued freedom.
As it stands, if he did it, he is diabolically clever--and real lucky. A bloodless strangulation is most probable.
If she was dumped in a desolate heavily wooded area, even in a shallow grave, foraging wildlife could ultimately lead to a partial recovery of skeletal remains.
